Here goes my academic background-
10th(CBSE)- 82%
12th(CBSE, PCM)- 56%
graduation(UP board, B.COM)- 58%
Due to Financial constraints i started working in BPO(call center) units right after 12th standard.
My total job experiece post 12th is 5+ years. But my job experiece after graduation is 2.5 years(full time).
I have 2 questions
1. Keeping in mind my poor academic background do i stand a chance of getting into one of top 20 colleges if i get 99+ percentile in cat?
2. Will they count my work ex?

FMS BHU UPDATES : The number of students being called for the GD/PI is going to be increased from 4/seat to 6/seat. This may lower the cutoffs from last year. The last date for application is 31st December.

Can someone tell if 2 MBA from a second tier B School (considering it will have around 10-12L expenses and 2 yeas of investment) is better than IBPS PO, or CGL ?? here, I am referring to non-sbi po posts like dena bank, idbi bank etc....they have job-security, offer postings in good cities like mumbai or tier2 or at least tier 3 cities, their pay is low but considering I wouldn't be in hefty debt and wouldn't loose two years -it should be okay, I can pursue MBA part-time if degree matters at all... CGL is even better as far as I know....

I am 2012 passout (Btech) with 78% Grads, XII 85%, Xth 91.4%.
I am working right now in HCL..and till now i have 1.5 yrs of work-exp.
My job is damn hectic. So m planning to quit my job in near future (March/April 2014) and prepare for CAT once again. (ie, CAT 2014)
I was already enrolled in coaching in the year 2013. However, I want to go for only IIM's and NOTHING less than that.
For this year (2013), I am expecting calls from SCMHRD, NMIMS and yeah..a good cat percentile (but not sure whether i'd get IIM's or not)
My only concern is whether quitting the job just for CAT prep will create a hindrance in IIM's ???
Any past examples are appreciated.

Hi All,
It's deepak. I have completed my B.E. in 2004. And after that i have worked as a lecturer(part time). and after 3 years also i have joined a IT company now for 2 years. But now i want to do my mba. so i am going to appear for CAT next year and want to quit my job.
So, my question is if i show my work exp. as zero years while filling the cat form, will it be ok? or it will affect my admission to top tier B-schools as a long gap is there after my Graduation in engineering.
If i can show the work exp. as zero then how to handle the gap (as after quiting from the IT company i won't be able get a work exp, as it was here a 3 year contract).
So, please suggest me all possible scenarios as i am very eager for a career shift now.
