2 years of work experience...
in the 5 of the TIME aimcats, i've been getting more than 95 percentile everytime...10 of them are still remaining...
what is the percentile i should obtain to get a call from IIM-A,B,C,I,L ?
do i stand any chance for the top 5 IIMs?
@BLue39 Yes you could surely get a call from the institutes you have mentioned by looking at your profile. But you will have to score in excess of 99.4 to be on the safer side. Just work hard!! You could do it!!All the best!!!

I scored 88%ile in CAT 12. Applying for CAT ' 13 . I regret not taking admission as now i think i might have got admissions in a good college. Ram and Shyam have a cube each. Ram paints 4 faces of cube with red colour and rest with blue colour. Ram asks Shyam to paint his cube as well with some sides red and some sides blue. I don't have any job offer at this moment. Sometimes i regret my decision of not joining any colg. what should I do to enhance my chances into an IIM as i have a below average academic profile

@smaily you have a decent profile. Quite similar to my profile. You have not mentioned your work ex. But still it is good enough to get into good B Schools if you work hard. Nothing can stop you. Just For Your Information(FYI) am right now doing PGDHRM from IMI Delhi. And in the past have cleared many B Schools with my profile which is quite similar to yours(But yes i had some work ex). So even you can make it.

@sahilKM I would say go for some part time job. Dropping an year for CAT preparation is not advisable. Interview panel should be convinced that you dropped one year just for this, if you can convince them then good otherwise tough. Also this drop year will come back to haunt you later in your life also, as every employer will ask you this question.
You have a decent profile and a non IT background that works in your favor.
In previous 3 AIMCATs I got 94.5, 91.8 and 96.7 %iles, but in the latest one (1411), it dropped straight to 60! What can be the possible reasons? Plz guide seniors!
I am preparing for CAT 14 with time material..but it feels like the excercises given in the book is not enough for high percentile...please give a piece of your mind...correct me if I am wrong..

I just started self preparation for it this month..and never prepared for CAT before..
My profile is:
1) 10th - 89%
2) 12th - 85.6%
3) UG (Mechanical engineer) - 88.2%
4) Work exp. (as of 31st Aug. 2013) - 14 months
I have 2 queries-
1) What percentile should I aim at for getting old IIMs & new IIMs?
2) Secondly, for this percentile, how many correct questions should I aim to attempt. I believe it is the no. of questions that one should aim at rather than the percentile.
