Hello! I want to appear for CAT 13, and I haven't started anything yet. I have a few questions that have been bugging me and I would be really grateful if anyone could clear them. I just discovered this website and it's awesome!
1. My 10th percentage is 87 (maths 97) and 12th is 90 (maths 93). My engineering (BE in IT from Osmania University) percentage is, however, 60. I'm a 2013 passout, and was wondering if with these grades, if I stand a chance in the top colleges in CAT?
2. If I do, then my second question is will the 2.5-3 months that's left now until the exam be enough to crack the CAT? I've written the ICET this year (it's the common test for MBA admissions in Andhra Pradesh, and I know it's not even 1% like the CAT), and achieved a decent rank, and so was wondering if I could make it in time for the CAT.
3. If I can, then what books do I need to buy to prepare? Could anyone give me a complete list?

I have a doubt regarding the work experience proof for CAT13.
I have worked as an Admin Executive for a software company without salary from Feb 2013 till May 2013. I have received my first salary and also pay slip only for June 2013. My employer is willing to give me a work experience certificate from Feb 2013. Now for my work exp to count from Feb 2013 itself, will the work experience certificate from the employee suffice or should I also produce the pay slips for every month?
I m working in a Private bank as an business analyst and pursuing MBA in banking and finance designed by the organization itself. However I dont find value in this degree in other organisation. I want to pursue MBA according to my job profile. Please suggest some avenues like
1. MBA or any other degree
2. If MBA then (Specialization ??)
2. Which exam should I go for ( CAT, MAT, GRE etc.)
i am having a bit of problem in the QA/DI section.....i am only able to attempt 16-17 questions with 80% accuracy,so i end up getting a score of around 40,....having problems in modern maths-especially equations,probability and permutations.....most of all i think i need to increase my speed to attempt atleast 20+ questions as i often miss out on sitters due to my slow pace(in DI).....
how can i speed up my calculatons without compromising in accuracy

I am really in a very confused and tough situation. Please do comment if you can help me in anyway. Currently I am doing job after my B.TECH but my job/work field is very limited. I don't see much exposure. This job have become very frustrating for me and changing the job will only result into another bad situation. I would have left my job but I didn't quit only because work experience matters in most of the MBA colleges and also interviewers bug mostly "did you quit because of work pressure" but its NOT WORK PRESSURE.. Am I doing right? Shall I continue my work and keep studying or quit the job and focus only exams?? 😟😟😟😟😟😟😠😠😠😠😟😟

But I fear it isn't enough to get a good percentile in CAT or one of the older IIMs..!!!
(my background is b.tech NIT-Tiruchirappalli (CGPA -8.52), 12th (89.6%), 10th (89.5%) and I am due, to join my first job in august 9th (and after joining I fear I might not be able to dedicate much time for CAT prepration.)
am bit confused.. rite nw am working as assistant manager in one private sector bank. me, 2012 B.E-EEE passed out. i am having interest in doing mba in best B-School. for tat CAT is the better option. but i dont knw in depth about CAT. can i prepare alone, without gng fa coaching???? or coaching is must? am not so talented. but average learner. help me out with some suggestions and infos...
I joined Pagalguy today. I am currently working as a sw engineer 2011 pass out. I no longer wish to work in software development track(sw developer or tester). I have interest in analysis, management. So I'm planning for MBA in 2014-16 to change my track. Need your suggestions. I know doing MBA from a very good college will definitely help and for that I need to prepare a lot. Also are there any other ways ?
I completed my chemical engineering last year with a CGPA of 8.5 .Currently I m working in the R N D dept of a building materials industry and want to change my track and plan to write CAT this year.

well im not sure but 90 marks would fetch u close to 92 - 93 percentile . attempt 18 question from the section which is yr strongest , and 13 right (no negetives) from other , tht mean 40 marks approx . thia will fetch around 90percetile (+ - 1-2 percetile )
