Hi Everyone,To introduce myself, I am a Computer Science engineer and an MBA from one of the top B-Schools in India. I am currently working as a Risk Consultant in one of the top Consulting Firms in India.Having been through more than a dozen MBA Admission Interviews and Group Discussions for top schools (accepted by all), I have come to realize this stage is the most important stage in the admission process and most of good candidates are unable to perform to their full potential at that stage.Its my sheer passion and interest to help candidates improve their Personal Interview and Group Discussion skills.I also take part time sessions, classes and mock interviews at one of the top MBA preparation institute and help students perform beyond their expectations in their Interviews and Group Discussions.I have created a blog (http://indianmbaadmissionshelp.wordpress.com/)which is for all those candidates who are facing any challenge or see a hole in their preparation for MBA admission Interviews and Group Discussion preparation. If you have any question which is bothering you, or you are facing difficulty in answering any particular type of question, you can email me your questions and I would revert back you to with my advice.Candidates can email me at [email protected].Please provide as much details about yourself so that I can help you customize your answer which is relevant to you and your overall profile.I will post my replies on my blog as well as send you a personalized email reply as well. I will be putting my answers on my blog so that it can help other candidates as well.My Blog Link: indianmbaadmissionshelp.wordpress.comHave a great MBA Admissions season.Good Luck
From your post two things are definite.
1 : You are not from "one of the top B-Schools in India", well at least not from the top 15.
2 : You are not working as a "Risk Consultant" in a "Top Consulting Firm".

I'm sorry if I am arrogant. If you really were what you mentioned, it's highly unlikely that you are so jobless that you are trying to make petty money from the internet.

@Hector1 Yeah, probably 😞 For ppl like me who have screwed up their graduation, Calcutta is like the saviour. It provides us some hope, some junoon to study :-)
@MBAdmissionHelp
I appreciate that you cared to reply. If your real intensions were to help students for free, you could have done it easily just by creating a thread here. You can clear all the doubts publically, so that it will help everyone and not just the ppl who are asking it. If you think you can get some money by ads right now or build up your future audience or potential customers, then you are wrong, PG is helping students in all formats and in all types, not to mention freely and publically. It's so ironic that even to market your blog you've to use PG.
@ABCILK u r true bro... they will tell free at first and charge for premium services later rofl

Due to some personal reasons ...I have to restrict the choice of my B school to Bangalore...Could you please let me know which are the top 5 b Schools in bangalore... IIM Bangalore is out of my league... 😞 (Poor acads)

@crazyrat SIBM, NMIMS.
@ordinary_guy i think il keep d percentage as 78.7 only.. Now with this is mind.. IIM A needs me to get 99.9x... C 99.7x... L wud be the same right.. I Toh definately no chance.. for other colleges like MDI FMS SPJAIN XLRI...new IIMs.. The variation will not matter right?? So i still do hve a chance to gt a top b school... In dat case iim's challenge is accepted.. I will gt the required improbable percentiles...

i need a routine study plan. can anyone share theirs considering a working professional of daily 9 hours of work hours.

@sankethingne You have the same working hours as me. What you should do is break your studies dont do it in a stretch After coming back from office you can take rest for 1 hour and you may start studying, study for 2 hrs and get up early in the morning and study for 2 to 2.5 hrs. This is what i have done 😃
@bvdhananjay No dont!!! Why will u give up on these GOD-of-a-college when u have the chance.... Have u asked the seniors of ACI as to what u should fill? 😲 Have u asked the prometric help-line people what u should fill? 😲 Before getting answers from them, dont rule these out.... Trust me, there are many super-talented guys I know (who will never get an A call due to

Trust me, there are many super-talented guys I know (who will never get an A call due to >80 in grad) who would love to be in ur shoes... Plz dont throw away ur advantage... Dont make up ur mind on anything till u hear from these impeccable sources.....And yes, ur 78.7 or 82+ will have NO effect on almost all other options....
ota
@ordinary_guy Is XLRI is also so much concerned abt acads as d IIMs are?????n wats d scenario at FMS???if u ve any idea plz share.......
@ordinary_guy iims consider the percentage taking all the subjects... apart frm iims is it applicable for other clgs too or other gd clges go by percentage according to boards rule.....????
hi @ordinary_guy and fellow puys,

Can somebody here please describe what verbal reasoning, critical reasoning and logical reasoning are? also, the kind of questns to expect in each of them.
@amit468 No buddy... XLRI & FMS does'nt pay much heed to ur past.... For FMS, basically if u have a great CAT score, then ur seat is basically pakka.... I mean its very very difficult for a 99.5+ guy NOT to convert FMS... That is because FMS has probably 70% (or 77%, a bit confused b/w these 2 figures) weightage on CAT score alone. So the rest does'nt matter much if ur CAT score is awesome.... For XLRI though, ur performance in PI HAS to be great... A lot of the 99.9+ guys in XAT got rejected last year. It looks at ur Overall profile+ Performance for selection & not any particular parameter. I mean, if somebody has average acads but great extra-curriculars+great XAT score+ Good PI, then he/she will convert XLRI (something that is missing from the IIM criterias)... Thats y most ppl consider XLRI to be the fairest among all (a tag that was previously given to IIM-C before they too started giving 3 straight marks to women)
@fazer55 Most of the top colgs consider the average of ALL subjects taken together, irrespective of Board rules, Unfortunately 😞 There may be one or 2 exception but mostly its all subjects taken together.... :(
@ordinary_guy bro u have been very kind to hear me out... thanks a lot! I have written to the IIM ACI seniors about my situation, I hope they do reply soon and in the positive!
@ordinary_guy So,now wat is d scenario at IIM-C......I knw dey r asking a high %ile.....still can u tell me wat sud be d acads n CAT score 4 a fair chance of conversion........juz asking as I belong to a diverse background(B.com).......may be any chances.......but my acad is horrible......
@ordinary_guy bhai agar 99 tak cat mein aa jaye toh wat r the chances for FMS(conversion) with average acads ?

@ordinary_guy It's great to see you clearing doubts 😃 You are a true Puy 😃 I have one more doubt at your disposal. I haven't started preparing for CAT. I'm joining Byju's for the April batch. Weekday's I'll have too much work and cannot manage to sneak out even an hour a day. So, if I attend classes on Sunday and study for around 5 hours on Saturday, will it be enough to get the "dream 99.xx %iles"? I have never had trouble with aptitude of any form, Verbal I feel is manageable. Is this much effort enough or should I abscond from my job for a few months(you know, those regular typhoid, family problems drama)?

PS Im very desperate to get into a "top B-School" in 2014 :-)
