Hi guys. As I am almost done with my interviews for this year and have lot of time to kill so I have done an analysis of CAT 2012 results. There are some graphs and tables which you would want to have a look at.

X- 93 %
XII- 87 %
Grad- 5.9 CGPA
Work Ex- 38 months ( at the time of CAT'13 registrations ie by Aug' 13)
Field of work- Core electrical manufacturing company
Extra currics- Decent...(not mindblowing)
@gaurav21 Colleges like IIFT,XLRI, FMS etc which donot give much importance to the acads will call you . Your graduation score can be a hindrance for you .....now you cant do anything for that...... just look forward, your rest acads and your work-ex will athwart you. Just prepare well score as high as you can which will give you a benefit in GD/PI stage . All the Best 😃
My acads are 10th 88.2, 12th 69.4 and graduation cgpa will end up around 6 to 6.5.
Assuming I do well in the entrances, what colleges can I get?
i scored 83 in X, 87 in XII, n in grad till %th sem my percentage is 68,.... I am doin BFIA(Bachelor of Financial and In\vestment Analysis) from SSCBS(shaheed sukhdev college of Business Studies),..... plz let m kno which colleges I can apply to ?

@fazer55 Engineering grads are discriminated in the selection processes. No IIM would prefer a male engineer(non IT) with IT experience 😲 True Story :-(

@fazer55 The problem is that we are too smart. We can fare better in a management course than those who have studied business/finance for 3 years in their graduation ( no offence to anyone).
@ABCILK may b u r rght..... dats nt our fault..... silly biasing by the iims.... iims r immature really i must say now...... 
now i think tht i shld go for a bcom degree for 3 yrs n then take cat......

@bvdhananjay 1) Actually they wont go back on their words as all communications will be via email (more convenient this way). U send them a detailed query & they reply within 48 hrs. So u have the printout with u always. :)
2) Actually even for ICSE/ISC students, even if u fail in the additional subject, it does'nt matter most probably [till 2006 atleast]. But that does'nt stop the IIMs from screwing u [My Bengali marks was 90 which brought my average crashing down from 96 to 93 :(]
3) Actually even ICSE/ISC students can easily get a letter from Board saying that the additional subject be discounted but the IIMs have clearly mentioned in their RULES that ALL SUBJECTS BE INCLUDED IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SYSTEM FOLLOWED BY YOUR BOARD [quite straight-forward & cruel!!!]
4) Finally if u think that this thing is giving u nightmares & u need to get this over with to put ur full focus on ur prep, u should start contacting the seniors of A,C,I here on PG [as these are the institutes in which u will get a call at 82.4 but very very difficult at 78.7, so they will understand ur problem].... Go through the comments section to find any fellow victim & have a talk as to what he is doing.
Finally whatever u decide, plz keep the term "CRIMINAL OFFENCE IN CASE OF MISLEADING DATA" in mind brother. This sentence freaks me out greatly. I really wanted to fill 96 & 97 in my B form for Class-X & XII as B puts enormous emphasis on ur acads & this would make me look great but unfortunately could'nt muster the courage. @ABCILK I think the reason is your low percentage in graduation and your work ex. I believe if you have around 30 months of experience, you would become eligible for most of them. Edit your details and try that too.
@ordinary_guy 😁 😁 Those were true feelings 😃 How much ever circus the IIM's do, they are always gonna end up with 80% of the batch being Engineers, out of them 80% percent being male, and out of them 80% being from IT :D
PS: For the ppl who are preparing, find the maximum(possible) number of girls in IIM Z if they deviate from this rule by plus/minus 5% and their intake is 246.
