@@Hector1 : Thanks 😃 the website says I'm not eligible for any of the new IIM's. Do you know the reason? I'd however be keen on joining other premier institutes like FMS, SPJIMR, IIFT in comparison with the K S and other new IIM's.

the checking process is purely biased bhai..dnt believe in all those rumours.....like when I m entering male+general+non -eng+96(X)+90(XII)+61(GRAD)+wrk-exp(18 months)..then its showing that the persn is not eligible for any IIM expect IIML...which is practically impsbl...so it is totally biased!!!but when with this prfl u change the category to female ..then it is showin she is eligible for all IIMs.....
Its not based on one particular factor..its about the cumulative score u will be getting like CAT+X+XII+grad to get a call for GD PI....if u can get high cumulative score then u will get the call......

and calculate your cumulative score according these..(assuming as if u are a 99.5+ percentiler)....u can check your eligibility of your own for each IIMs...:)
for example take in case of IIM B(whose criteria has been more or less same for last 4-5 years)...from the attachments u can get an idea that how the calls r given in case of IIM B FOR wat pi ...based on pre GD PI cumulative cut off scores...
check those!!!

Ur urgent help required over here coz i m in deepest of troubles nd consequently i m nt able to take a firm decision. I completely messed up CAT 2012 hence getting a mere 66.6 percentile
. Now the main problem lies in the fact that i have completed my graduation in August , 2012 itself bt bcoz of my low percentile i hav'nt got a call from any decent college( Just got a few calls from lower grade colleges like - IMT-N, NDIM,etc
) I really want to give it another try in 2013 and i m pretty much confident of getting a decent college call as i thnk i can improve my result a great deal by concentrating hard with full of my ability(which i did'nt do during my CAT 2012 preparations).
. does an engineering graduate get more preference in iims in the selection process??????? as all says that non-engineers suffers a lot to get a call frm iims... is it truee?????
@ABCILK JBIMS is obviously very very good with a very low fee as well.... But its basically for Maharashtrians..... Out of the 120 seats, only 18 are allocated for non-maharashtrians. So u need to have a CMAT rank U will know best about this one but do keep in mind that unless ur profile is absolutely stunning, u will have to shell out atleast 3 times more money & with the current economic condition, an Indian getting placed in USA/Europe in a high-collared job may be pretty difficult [I think there was an article on this in economic times 40 days back]. U should check with someone who is actually doing his/her MS to gain better knowledge about the opportunities 😃 Best of luck in whatever u decide.... :)
@mumal123 When u say TOP-15, u really dont need anyone's views as barring the IIMs, almost everyone else focuses almost minimally on ur acads & past.... Yes u are not gonna get called by ABIS,K (yes, though u are girl, whom K usually favor a lot, but ur class-12 & grad score is gonna yield pretty low marks while shortlisting)... But regarding the rest, u have VERY strong chances if u can somehow come up with a great score (a score of 99+ is basically gonna cement ur place in most colleges, if not all as C,L,new IIMs, SJMSOM--> all give extra marks just for being a girl & a 99+ girl is gonna find it almost impossible NOT to convert an elite call). So honestly, u really dont need to focus on criterias AT ALL as if u get a great score, NOTHING else is gonna matter much in ur final selection....Best of Luck :)
@fazer55 U got to be kidding bhai 😁 Plz go through any criteria to realize that Engineers are the most hated species on this planet at this moment. U get a certain number of marks JUST FOR BEING A NON-ENGG in IIM-L, new IIMs.... Other than this, almost all top colleges have a special inclination towards non-engg.... Trust me, if u are a non-engg with >72 in grad & >85 in 10 & 12, u are PURE GOLDEN in this age :D

@ordinary_guy bt intop clgs lyke sibm-p ,siib engineers r preffered as per my experience... 70-75% of the batch r engineers..........
@fazer55 Bro, there are only two professions in India, Engineering and Medicine..and nowadays, even doctors want a MBA..
@fazer55 SIIB is NOT a TOP college.... SIBM-P is also, at best, a GOOD college.... Yes if u talk like that, then obviously, for the next 5yrs atleast, engineers will always be a majority in class as they have much much better aptitude than non-engg... So obviously engg dominate the 99-100 bracket but the top colleges (specially the IIMs) are consciously trying to keep engineers out & bring in more non-engg by lowering their cut-off, giving them extra marks and other measures... A non-engg with say 99.5+ will easily sail through most IIMs (L & new IIMs, specially) & other top colleges while an engg. with the same score may not have any vital IIM call....Trust me, its a bliss :)
