My caste is tagged as OBC in the Government of India website and my dad's salary is 5.4 lakhs/yr but when I approach the local Municipal corporation authority they are denying to issue the OBC certificate stating that people staying in the metropolitan cities are not entitled to claim the same. Is that the case? Can someone please throw some light here.
Hi guys...the central Govt NC OBC certificateformat is slightly different for IIFT and CAT(IIM FORMAT). so we need to get two different formats? how long does it take to get the format? i have the state govt issued certificate.
Is it necessary to have a central govt NC OBC certificate before applying for IIFT and CAT or can we apply for the certificate after the results are declared?
Hi, I want to know, The certificate of NC-OBC which we have to send IIFT along with Application form. Whether It should be photocopy and Self attested or gazetted officer has to approve? Plz reply
Need help regarding the OBC cerificate, i have a certificate issued on 22/sep/201 4 (non jat), i just saw that IIM Amritsar is asking for a new obc certificate issued after march 2015,In U.P the caste certificate is valid for 3 years , can anybody clear the doubt, anybody who took admission this year..!!

My NC obc certificate is issued by chattisgarh authority which comes under central obc list.But I stay in Mumbai for education.
The form to be filled downloaded from iimcat.ac.in requires District Magistrate sign.
From which District Magistrate should I obtain sign. Mumbai or Chattisgarh?

I come under OBC Central List Category. The OBC NC limit is for 6Lakhs and my salary comes about that. Wanted to know whether i will be eligible for Non Creamy OBC reservation since i am the only earning member in my family and my salary wont apply for consideration in the Non Creamy if i go on to pass the other eligibility criteria.
Any idea how it gets calculated in this case ?

I was trying to fill CAT 2015 form. They have mentioned on their website to enter work experience till 31st July 2015 only, I will be working till the time I join some MBA college which is around one more year ahead of now. So my question is that one year's experience is not considered?
just now i registered for cat under NC OBC and i got the mail saying registration successful but when i took the print-out, in the front page, top, it says to take a copy of the acknowledgement also. What should i do?
Also should i sent the hard copy of the NC OBC certificate with a copy of the application ?
