With the SC squashing JAT quota from NC-OBC, would the admission process get affected or the implementation would be from next year ?
Puys i need your help i am NCOBC but in my school records and college records i do not have the caste. but on other documents like voter id pan card, land documents etc i have the caste mentioned.even i have a caste certificate. am i eligible under reservation in iims??
after todays supreme courts decision to scrap jats from obc category what happens to the jat obc candidates? will their candidature be cancelled or will this change be implemented from cat 15?

Which college would you choose if you convert all below ? This is only for OBC candidates between 85%tile and 93 %tile.
As per the exact wordings on CAT Website :
"In case of NC - OBC category, the castes included in Central List (available at http://www.ncbc.nic.in) of NC - OBC by the National Commission of Backward Classes, Government of India as on last day of registration will be used. Any subsequent changes will not be effective for CAT 2014"
So going by the very meaning of the words (as what the legal system is based on), On the last day, which was 10th October, 2014, The list available on http://www.ncbc.nic.in contained JAT in it. And this list would be used for the CAT process. No where is it mentioned that for interview and admission process a different list at a different date is required. Also very clearly in bold it is mentioned even on the website and newspaper advt. (both are legal docs), that Any Subsequent Changes will not be effective for CAT 2014, the definition of any change will encompass all the possibilities whether it is stay on order, quashing of the order, removal of certain states or even the earth getting destroyed in an alien attack. And this SC Verdict of quashing the order came much later the aforementioned date.
So chill people , everything's going to be fine.

Regarding the SC verdict... Lets assume this verdict is not applicable for CAT 2014 as explicitly mentioned in CAT2014 advertisement that no subsequent changes would effect cat2014.... my concern is... lets say someone gets admission... but at the time of registering at college... OBC certificate would be required and since OBC certificate is valid only for one financial year...how would JATs be able to provide a valid OBC certificate as we cannot get a new certificate in coming financial year as we are not on the NCBC list anymore... somebody please throw some light on this.... anyone having legal viewpoints would be very much appreciated.

in every government form (i went through a few) it is clearly mentioned always last date of registration is considered for obc status and creamy layer status. so please dont worry jat brothers.

I had a word with some legal person ..according to him until nd unless govt issue notice to remove JAT as OBC they will be considered as OBC . The govt is needed to file for review and keep this under pending notification. Even the DM is obligatory to issue or reissue certificates until govt orders to stop them.....
Check iift forum, result is delayed because of removal of jat from list.

Can I just say that blaming the Supreme Court decision for delay in results is simply being naive. Why?
1. Since only the reservation list at the time of registration is followed, they can't implement it on the exams that have already been conducted. Please read up any advertisement. Be it of CAT or that of FMS. Hell FMS even just released their cutoff.
2. The IIFT people have no way of knowing which OBC's are Jats and which not. The forms demanded no mention of that thing.
3. The decision of Supreme Court, which obviously can't be implemented till the review petition is heard and decided upon. And even if otherwise, lets remember what happened when the Muslim reservation in Maharashtra was abolished, it was only to be implemented in future processes and not in the retrospect.
So Jats please take heart and keep calm. All will be well. And that's even after the review petition is heard.
