The Institute :
The Institute of Management, Nirma University is a constituent Institute of Nirma University, a statutory University, recognized by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f). The Institute has been consistently ranked among the top 15 private B-Schools in the country.
The Programme :
The MBA programme (two-year residential) offers dual specialization in Finance, Marketing, OB & HR, IT, International Business, Operations and Strategic Management. The programme emphasizes on academic excellence, networking with the corporate world and personal development. The placement record of the Institute has been consistently 100 percent.
Scholarship :
The Institute provides a few Merit-cum- Means Scholarships for deserving students.
Eligibility :
A three-year bachelor`s degree (10+2+3) or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Students appearing in the final examination of a bachelor`s degree can also apply.
Admission Process :
The prospective candidates are required to take the Common Admission Test -2011 to be conducted by IIMs. Applicants are required to fill in the application form of the Institute of Management, Nirma Univesity in addition to the CAT form. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for personal interview at select cities.
Online Application forms :
Can be filled at Institute of Management, Nirma University from 15.10.2011 to 31.12.2011.
Online applicants are required to make online payment for the application processing fee of Rs.1,500/- through Credit / Debit Card or net banking.
Offline Application forms :
Can be directly obtained form the Institute or from different centres of
IMS Learning Resources or TIME on payment of Rs. 1,500/- by cash or demand draft from October 05, 2011 onwards. Application forms can also be downloaded from our website Institute of Management, Nirma University and the completed application forms can be submitted along with a demand draft
for Rs. 1,500/- drawn in favour of Institute of Management, Nirma University payable at Ahmedabad. Completed applications should be dispatched so as to reach us latest by December 31, 2011 .

1. It is a very subjective question. All depends upon ur overall performance. Though CAT has the highest weightage but still a bad PI may lead to rejection irrespective of ur CAT percentile
2. Avg package for 2011 batch is 7 lpa

Here is the placement report of the IMNU batch of 2009-2011.
The annual average package offered by recruiters to the MBA students at Nirma University has risen by 13 per cent this year.
The average annual package of Rs 6.20 lakh that was offered by the recruiters in the final placements last year has gone up to Rs 7 lakh this year.
The highest package offered to the students also went up from Rs 9 lakh per annum last year to Rs10 lakh this year.
The offer was made by Ranbaxy Laboratories which was taking part in the institute's placement process for the first time this year.
The final placement at the Institute of Management at Nirma University began in the form of a rolling placement in December 2010 and ended in mid-February this year.
"We have had a very good placement this year and many new companies took part in it. All the students who took part in the placement have secured good jobs," said Harshal Bhagwat, manager of corporate relations and placements at the institute.
Infosys was the largest recruiter of the management students from the campus this year. It recruited 34 students, while ICICI hired 18 students. More than 40 companies participated in the recruitment process this year, including new recruiters from sectors like pharmaceuticals, micro finance and fast moving consumer goods taking part for the first time.

@Chetan : Number of available seats are 180 for MBA(Full Time) course.
Fifteen percent of the intake is allocated for admission to NRI / NRI sponsored students.For general category selection is purely on the basis of your CAT score and second stage tests .

No offense meant, but I was talking about the 96-97 percentilers who couldn't convert...I was a 95 percentiler who couldn't convert and now I feel I am lucky that I was rejected

hi, mate I hope u have converted some IIM or st great .......... Well I am also a 96+ %ile er and I am proud to be part of Nirma. Firstly I use to think like you that those 82.xx %ileer cannot match your potential......and u deserve better. but your cat % only depicts your logical potential that too was skeptical in online format. your other personality facets remain untouched.
let me explain to u by a example we have 3-5 C.A in our batch I don't know abt there %iles but even if it was less they are going to be far much better than an engineer in finance related subjects and the diversity they bring is important.
I also want to share that changes in admission procedure are made in accordance with industry feedback............so If you were rejected there must be some sound logical reason behind it.hope I am able to mellow down your grudge a bit.
