Im from hyderabad and I got the news from my uncle who has gud contacts with the CFA indian society head tht before june the exam will be conducted in India itself. And this is true to best of my knowledge dudes... So got to see whether to take the risk of booking the exam late and payin up more , writing in india or booking now and if the exam gets conducted in india goin abroad and spendin hefty amounts......:eh:
if u r talking abt the june'08 exams then the early deadline of feb 15 is already over. so u can wait till march 17th for registration.

CFA insitute allows the candidates to change the test center FREE OF COST till 75 days before the examination. It will take just two business days for the request to be processed. So, even if there is a chance of the exam getting in India itself, one need not wait till the decision is out. You can safely go ahead and register with some test center abroad and later request for a test center change. I had my test center changed recently.
Hi everyone I am an engineering grad(07 batch) and currently working as a s/w engg and drawing an annual package of 5 lac in a financial domain company.This is where i got attracted to the feild of finance!! I am thinking of pursueing CFA and planning to appear for L1 in dec 2008.My ques are
1. If I clear L1 in dec will i be able to prepare well for L2 in june 09? 2.I dont want to settle abroad.I want to settle prefferably in delhi only.Will i be able to find a gud enough job here in Delhi, after completing my CFA? 3.Will i be able to find a job after clearing L1 exam?If yes how gud will it be considering my current package?

I have started the preparation and am done with the quants part. Plan to start the corporate finance thing next. Me finding it hard to study, alongwith the mba interview preparation.
I'm a little late on this forum..but I just registered for the Level 1 Jun 08 exam. Got my schweser notes yday.. For all those in Mumbai, there is a book shop which delivers the latest notes on the same day.. In case you are interested let me know..will share the phone number. Now, I've got to start working..
