hi all .....what is to be entered in the work ex part of the online form
I am planning for cfa june 13 level 1, and I am also doing job, and my background is computers engineering. I am going to start preparation but confused that how to start, and when I encounter problems in preparation how and where I am going to ask them, resolve them. Some one told me that online study group will help you in this, everything will be resolved there.
Is this the place for that? Or where??
And one more thing, i am confused that, when i start with one topic i should finish that when in depth, or i will short with time.
how much time i should give to each topic, how much time i should give my self to complete one topic. and by which month i should complete which topic.. plz help...?

2) actually i am a fresher pursuing my pgdm, first year. what i heard from my seniors that with mba it is possible only to clear 1st level as because 2nd level requires extra coaching and that much time won't be available with pgdm.
There are people who are doing CFA as well MBA. they start their CFA program when they enter MBA program and try to finish level 2 when thry are out of college. This adds immense value to resume as you will be way ahead of the other candidates. Level 2 is where the actual challenge lies as there is many in depth topics to be covered. But yes again it just make you way ahead than your peers. So in my opinion you can very much complete your CFA level 2. I agree there is short term pain in terms of managing both the courses but then there are people who have done this, and achieved long term gains in terms of job profile.
2. does the Flip course provide any benefit with the first level of cfa ??
In my opinion it will not add any value if you are already done with CFA l1/l2

but again i would like to ask something in regard to my first question that as per Mad-Head there will be no value added to my cv with cfa 1st level., but what if with my 1st level i also have cleared my mba ?? does that give extra weightage during placements as i am only a fresher ..

In my opinion, no it will not add any significant value to your resume. Pls understand that L1 only gives you knowledge about various financial instruments, their usage and some other basic gyaan. it is level 2 which gives you complete knowledge on how to value these financial instruments.
So in my personal opinion it will not add any significant value to ur resume. (My personal view, forum is open for debate 😃 )

@[582498:iwantgovtjob] and others - Pls dont get demotivated by knowing that CFA level1 has no value. Its the same if u r 12th class pass, nobody will give you a good job but again if you want to go for any higher studies, 12 th class is compulsory. so automatically it has value.
See the entire course is very interesting and adds a lot of value to your knowledge, sometimes when you hear people saying that this course has no value/cfa level1 has no value pls dont get despaired, once you complete CFA it just opens lots of career options for you people.
Entire course sometime becomes stressful and difficult to cope up with specially when u r working, but guys pleasant morning follows after a dark night only. I am not saying it is going to be easy but it is worth giving a try.
So just dont worry. enjoy the curriculum, prepare for the best.

Today i tried to register for CFA level 1 with printed materials which costs 1185 USD that means 1185* 56 (current preice is 55.41) INR i.e 66300 and my card limit(and avbl balance) is 67 K but it didnt allowed me to register saying ki U dont have enuf balance........what could be the issue....i m very tensed as only few days are remains to register for it! Contact your card provider with the details of the issue, or deposit 1-2 thousand more bucks in your a/c & try the transaction again.
will FLIP certificate in equity research and financial modeling add any value to my CV? as i will b appearing for CFA L1 in june/dec-13
