yes due to legal tussle going on between AICTE and AIMR currently CFA is not scheduled in India
However one cans select Kathmandu(where no passport/visa is needed) or Bangkok/Singapore(visa needed)

I recommend you to go through this thread once atleast the 1st 30-40 pages which would clear your general doubts.
For doubts on current situation you can post here and people who know the answer would reply

Cheers
best of luck in case you are enrolling for CFA

Actually i am Commerce students so CFA is pretty much related to my studies in some sense for sure..the thing is i am little confused about the 2 CFA's the ICFAI one and the other main one coz i am guessing THE ICFAI one is indianized CFA whereas the other is more american point of view...

So hopefully the dispute between both the parties is over fast and we have atleast one test center in India..

Dont worry AIMR adds great value to anyone anywhere be it India or America
You can wait but Kathmandu is a close option which people consider
Don't get confused as ICFAI is not CFA it is MS finance

I hope you have got the clue

Since you have got a lot of time in hand with 6 months to go for the exam you should go for the CFA books. Study notes are available of shweser, stalla and the like but be advised to only use them for quick revision.

cheers

How does one gets CFA books...do I need to buy them seperately / they comes wiht the registration ?

Also can anyone pls share the CFA curriculum - assuming this is not a copyrighted material.

Thanks

when u register for the exam u have to pay for curriculum also
earlier there was a choice to take curriculum or not
but now u will have to pay
u can make account in CFA site and access study materials :

I did create the account but still not able to access it.

no.they only provide hard copies of the material though I believe they have started providing soft copies for extra $40. I have no idea how many people have opted for it. And it's a copyrighted material.

Can someone who's started preparing for L2 tell me the difference between the CFA and schweser material in these four subjects--FSA,ECO,CF AND Quants? Roughly, how many pages does each subject occupy in the CFA curriculum? I'm asking this because I want to have an idea as to what I should be looking at when I register for L2 after getting my L1 result.

A die hard CFA material fan

cheers:
