You have to obtain proper release from your previous employer and submit a certificate of the same.

Send a letter/fax/email or better visit the personnel deptt to have a conversation and hand them your "prayer for extension".Get in touch with them immediately..they only will tell u the procedure.

@winner_iima But do they entertain request for extension ?
Plus Is it better to go for such request only after getting allotment letter.
Side by side I am trying to negotiate with my HR to reduce my notice period.

Similar requests were entertained in the bank I joined.
"allotment letter" whats that? do you mean joining letter?
people resign only after getting the joining letter.
@winner_iima oops thats joining letter :)
anyways thanks for the help ....now i literally feel relieved :D

@praneethreddy5 I had read our comments it is OK that u post or experience good and bad.But I don't know y or creating negativity to all those who want to join bank.Friend,a fruit can be judged as sweeter or bitter only if we taste it,not others. Also think of those people who works on road, buildings, how much physical effort they put in.On the other hand look medical rep, small it firms, small pvt companies who gives hectic work load even 12 he's working just for 4000 5000 k.Just think of all guys who have been in flying careers, all had a hectic life, bad superiors.Take every bad experience as a blessing that we can handle pressure and give the best. Moreover, one who is least interested in banking can no longer love it as they only see the negatives.I just want to say,if banking was the worst then no bank employees would have existed, there won't hardly be any pos in any bank...just ignore those who quit from the banks and concentrate on those who continue, those who grow in banks.just consider how lucky we r,count the blessing given by god that we got a job,do that with justice,be adaptable to all situation good and bad.Add to note I know SSC guy who resigned from the post as he was exploited by his superiors.so according to him he may demotivate all SSC guys.So all these opinions are purely personalI. Ignore the bad and grab the good, turn every bad experience into ultimate good one.I pray if at all bad exp happens just like this guy telling, let it be a thing to ever and laugh in the future.

@micky1988
how much marks you got Finally! to get selected as an inspector

Hi Frndz ...

Hope all of u r doing well by grace of God!!!

I am currently working in a reputed private IT Company in Product division and drawing inhand salary around 42K/month with just 2.8 yrs of experience ... In this product sector job is secure and more flexible(even work from home facility is there).

I am selected in one of the middle sized bank PO in this IBPS PO2 recruitment.

Will I proceed with IT industry or switch to PSU Bank PO ?

Can u suggest me frndz plz ?
@JaiJagannath continue with your IT job, coz u r getting a decent amount, hopefully its 5 day job, n defianitely u will get on site in comin gyears, so financially u will be in a good postion, where as PO job will b as hectic as IT with 6 day office. unless there are other reason, that u want to leave IT, product sector and move to govt sector, PSU, then its different. I am also working on products. Exigen. :)

No regrets if you are interested in Banking, you would have read my posts with greater intention before posting the thing. I have clearly mentioned the pros and cons. I were never against banking and never exploited by seniors or superiors. I have pointed out the extreme cons tht banking enhances and disturbs your personal and physical life. Even listed the cons. Jus had an intention to throw light on exact banking in the core branches and tht never seem to be challenging. Its my mistake wen I tried to be honest and convey my fellows who are ambitious enough tht they never get satisfied with the routine and bore work that Banks provide you. If you are then no problem and feels happy for you.

One kind suggestion, never compare a person of your stature or those in this forum to that of NREGA employees and technical aasitants in mechanic shops who earn mere 4k as you mentioned. You people are aiming for a respectable position and always look at similar things and choose out the best one.

Nevr sacrifice your job for a Bank PO, to reach 42k it takes next to Pay revisions and not sure you will be able to do. In terms of work pressure both are the same and sometimes you need to put extra efforts in banking and you are left unawarded.
@saikatha thanks for ur reply dude ..
but I wanted to tell .. in banking sector our job is 100% secure ...
And after bipartite 10 we can hope a descent salary although it can't be compared to IT industry ..
In IT industry who knows how many years we can work and also it can't be a life long job ...
And if recession happens ... all high paid people will be in soup :(

so it is always a tough situation to take decision ..

And what ever this bank job is .. u can continue up to 60 yrs ..
what do u say ?

Cant argue wen you pick up job security, it is unanimous. But there wont be any free time and those transfers will eat you a lot. I dont say tht IT is lot better than Banking bt will affirm that its better not to leave your job for banking and I dont want you to repent for tht decision of leaving IT in future. I havent seen atleast one IT employee being fired due to recession and its only the tension tht surrounds us wen time demands, am i right?
