Verdict contradicts and seems to be false, to shy away from work there is no need for people to roam here, its better then to join a LDC or Junior Asst in departments.

@Dadu2k13 said:@praneethreddy5 .....I dont know pal.....2 people r leaving Govt. Banks not able 2 cope it.....but 10 people r leaving IT sector n trying hard 2 get thru Govt. PO exams......Strange!!!!!!!!!
I am in IT field currently. I joined a big IT company TCS thinking that I will be doing coding and developing something. But, instead of developing I got a production support project in which there is no learning. So, I am uncertain about my future in TCS(experience certainity) as there is no learning. Although, TCS didn't kick the people in past when recession occured but who knows what will happen in future. And, also in a prodution support they don't have a big budget like development projects so I don't know upto what point I will make progress. The whole work of a production support project can be learn by a new joinee in 6 months. So, why will they pay more to a experience one rather than getting their work done by new joinee with a low salary.
@khushbu12345 See u have to take transfers if u want to go to higher positions...but if u ra lady then u may get the location in which ur husband will work....

@saikatha said:thats a good idea, but it will only help u if u want to build ur career in finance, post mba or with out mba, coz core banking job is is hectic and boring, to be honest, btech guys, from it/cse/electrical/civil.......they will be pissed of by the 6 day hectic work schedule and boring work....
*B.Tech guys have been sufficiently pissed during their grad days.
*There is official 6 day[or more
] work schedule everywhere in the industry except in IT & ITES.
] work schedule everywhere in the industry except in IT & ITES.*That which is hectic can be tiring but not boring and vice-versa.
*It depends on how you look at your job, but I feel a job with direct public contact can never be boring. Is IT job not labelled as boring?
*An engineer would find it boring if there is no challenge involved.
*Anything that doesn't piss you, isn't challenging at all.
@all
1. If you don't like banking industry, you can always resign.
2. If you get better opportunities, you can always resign.
but for 1 & 2 above, you have to get inside a bank, for which you have to diligently prepare.
Though there is going to be large scale recruitment in banks, it doesn't mean you fill-up the form and you are in.
So earnest request to all is - PREPARE!
please help me rural posting if i want then milega kya ?

I am unable to understand wht to do, i don't wanna to pay donation I hav interest in banking bt d problem is in banking which is disturbing me tht after getting promotion in banks we hav to change city nd if we don't want to change city. In same city in diff branch can we go AND ABT PROMOTIONS IT WILL NT AFFECT NA and if m going in banking field diploma will be gud for getting higher position or direct joing bank through exams
The Officer service guidelines of a PSB officer is drafted on the lines similar to that of Civil Services. You may be surprised to know that years ago a bank officer had a higher basic pay than that of an IAS. But due to some strange policy decisions taken by the successive governments the gap in pay parity of a Bank Officer and an IAS has widened. But the service regulations remain the same as they were in the beginning; so leave, transfer, salary, perks, reimbursements follow laid down norms of Govt of India and the Bank concerned.
*Regular transfers are a must for Officers, whether you chose to appear for promotion exams or not.
*As per service requirements Officers have to serve in various categories of branches urban/semi-urban/rural/metro.
*However, if you choose not to take appear for promotions you may be lucky not to be sent out of your circle/region. But again, not taking up higher responsibilities when offered will not justify your "I hav interest in banking...."
*For lady employees banks take a sympathetic view for transfer postings and try to accommodate them, but it in no way dilutes their liability to serve anywhere in the country at banks call.
*It is difficult for a girl to adjust with a profession and a new marriage, but that's true for every profession. Do note that banks have large no. of lady Officers discharging their duty most diligently and efficiently. If it was so difficult inside the banks, these high caliber women would not have stayed with the banks and increasing no. of girls would not opt for a banking job year after year.
@khushbu12345 said:@winner_iima ya definitely i want promotions want to grow it was jus tht after marriage it creates lot of prob everytime transfer so for my knowledge i asked
I hope you got more than your fair share of gyaan in my preceding post. :mg:

@brijpatel said:after working 3-4 yrs as a po does private bank offer gud profile??
Yup, and with more private banks coming in near future, there will be more chances in my opinion!..:)
Guys.........cant wait 4 more......becoming restless day-by-day........Hp its by 2day........Otherwise its becoming like a popular tagline in 1 of d TV ads - "mera number kab aayega?????"........Ours is like - "Hummara result kab aayega?????"....
