You shld never go satisfied in your whole life. One thing for your knowledge, I left Tech Mahindra for Andhra BAnk and nw repenting for tht, many are in the same line who did the same.

@praneethreddy5

Agree with you...Work in a PSU bank and go for mba after 1-2 years of experience....Or else u always have private banks which will be willing to pay you much more to the experienced.

@praneethreddy5 ....As I have mentioned earlier everything has pros n cons.....everything is like 2 sides of a coin......even in Science u have exceptions 4 every theorem or formula......its just a matter of majority or percentage......there r many people who love being in Private sector....n there r many who like d Public sector......but its d percentage of whichever is more......there r many who r in Banks n loving it.....

thats a good idea, but it will only help u if u want to build ur career in finance, post mba or with out mba, coz core banking job is is hectic and boring, to be honest, btech guys, from it/cse/electrical/civil.......they will be pissed of by the 6 day hectic work schedule and boring work....

At this stage u cant get my point. I want to make one thing clear to you, PO job is as hectic as IT job, only benefit is job security, disadv go for a long list. Its your wish and I got the point tht am no one to caution you. It ends here.

Working in banks on a whole is hell like. You need to do the same thing every min and every day. We wont take promotions for the sake of family, we cant spend time with family, compulsory rural postings, I have seen half a dozen managers who are trying to skip to priv banks and its not tht easy and the work pressure there mounts up. Work in banks is diff from all other deparments, its dealing with others money and there is knife always on your neck.
@praneethreddy5 .....I dont know pal.....2 people r leaving Bank not able 2 cope it.....but 10 people r leaving IT sector n trying hard 2 get thru PO exams......Strange!!!!!!!!!
@cat2013hereiam .....I dont know pal.....2 people r leaving Govt. Bank not able 2 cope it.....but 10 people r leaving IT sector n trying hard 2 get thru Govt. PO exams......Strange!!!!!!!!!

Nothing strange in it. We wont know abt it until we enter it. Majority of those 10 are really wrong and the young India in IT are far more than those in banks, so ratio seems lik tht. Simple mathematics. No one of my frnds left IT bt including me I have dozen people who left banks. You will get the things wen u enter it. I wont say to stick on to IT, bt suggsting you to prepare for better things rather than cheaper banks.
@Dadu2k13
Am not suggesting you to be in IT for ever or myself not going there to work. No point in mentioning IT all through your posts. Am jus saying tht Banks are no where better than tht. Even worse and jus carrying the tag of Govt job. Try for something valuable than tht you have at pesent. If you have no choice in hand then go for banks without any doubt and hesitation. That would be literally the end of one part of your life.

@praneethreddy5

Agreed....Would also like to add one more thing...The pay that an officer in a PSU Bank gets does not compensate for the risks in any way...But there are some high expectations from this settlement.Let's see...

Yep true, and with more new licenses for pvt banks coming up, it will only get better in terms of salary and pay, as these pvt banks will prefer to attract people who are already working in banking by providing higher salary

The 'switch' term that is common in IT will also become a buzzword in banking soon!..:)

@2013IsMine

Exactly...There u go....And if I'm not wrong the salaries in IT companies are no better...And IT ppl are generally the most dissatisfied lot because of a host of other issues.For anyone planning to do mba with specialization in finance,banking experience will be more useful anyday compared to IT exp in an india based IT Company..

btech guys spcly with less than or around 2 yrs of exp in IT, usually gets anything around 22-25k PM in major mnc in india, considering them as non IIT/NIT/BITS....in this level a same guy in bank PO position gets around 28k with other perks, this is one reason, that u see ppl r leaving IT. but AFAIK and have seen bank PO job is more hectic than IT jobs, n boring too. no offense to PO guys, PO is very hard to crack, lakhs of applicants are there!!
@cat2013hereiam and I wanna share one info here, a very respected senior of mine, also a part of KDT, who is an SBI PO, got 99.97%ile in this yrs CAT, told me, that he left infy because he wanted to study finance, and PO job is more hectic than infy job.
@praneethreddy5

I'm probably lucky to be posted in zonal office..Have access to net 24*7 at office unlike ppl working in branches...Very less work...And also able to follow everything on pagalguy...What else can anyone ask for??:D
