Hi All

I dont know how to request to open above thread..so posting as new

I am in s/w testing for last 8 yrs (having a chemical engg degree) but want to pursue lecturership (as my father is prof..and I see he has stress free life)

Since I have no comp science related degree but vast IT exp..will it be good to pursue MCA from SMU (so that I can continue job) , complete it and then apply for teaching jobs ?

B.tech--70 EC 2011 passout. Joined a Core Optical fibre company as Placed frm college...in June 2011,

After that decided to pursue the career in academics .... thr4 left job in DEC...2011, searched job in JAN/FEB/MARCh.....will strt frm April in a engineering CLG....but want to enhance my knowledge in managment side of it also so tht i can teach also in managment (keen interested) of it...so wanted to go 4 MBA.....................

Will this profile is like stnd in IIM;s nowhr...........or i have a chance...............means how can i justify to them this shift of me also in fornt of othr co-orporate guyz........lik i hav experience of teaching do i will stand a chance

MCA from SMu wont get u a ob. Its just a timepass degree


hmm ?? despite being 11 yrs of IT exp (If I right now start doing MCA, it will take 3 yrs ..so 8+3 =11)..strange ??

any reasons for above ?

So for which part time MCA I can go or any masters degree in comp science without leaving job ?

bhai ap samajh kyun nahin rahe 😃 ..mere pass chemical engg degree hai ...but main chemical engg nahin padana chahta..i have IT exp of 8 yrs ..ab to main saari chemical bhul gaya ...

I want to teach computer science...waise bhi comp science har engg college main hoti hai ..plus 8 saal se main isee line main hun....so...

I have good knowledge of software testing but thats not taught as a subject in B Tech comp sc 😞
