All those who've asked to wait for the next list are supposed to wait for the second waitlist,
the candidates waitlisted in the first get a different message.

Looks like they'll be coming up with second waitlist if required.
So keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best!

Priyanka.nayar: yeah it was indeed me in the powder blue formal shirt on the mica gd pi day (26th)...cant believe people actually remember me...anyways hope u get through in the second list.

Knowledge_is_power: Yeah i shall leave SIBM CM if i get through Mica mate....you can have my seat if you like (unless bugs bribes me with carrots of course!)

Vipinv: I hope what u said about waitlisted people getting in is true...if yea then ur a savior!

And Jormund: Coversations are something that i hope we can continue having no matter what. At the end of the day, even if i dont get in i can say i gained cause i found a friend in you...sheesh...sounds a little cheesy though...anyways....if i get into Mica, im ready to throw a party for all my well wishers here at PG...the support from all you guys is awesome.......Hey the poem at the end of your post is superb jormund...if u wrote that u get into creative writing....believe me...

Hey guys,

Me nt in . I got a message yesterday saying :
We are sorry to inform that you are not in the first list. However kindly look for the next waitlist which may be declared shortly.

But when I tried today it says:
We are sorry to inform that your name does not appear in the lists of selected or waitlisted candidates.

Have they released the waitlists as well?

when i checked my result this morning it said "you are waitlisted"... a lil while ago it says "you have been selected"!!!!!! i m clueless as to what happened, happy that i have been selected, but worried about the vacillating result. I dont want to rub people at the wrong place, but i guess it is worth checking the result again.. who knows!!!

Me got the same problem...i was SELECTED yesterday and today morning....and now the f***ing site says i m WAITLISTED....what the hell is going on man????

Just hoping that we get the darned letter early enough so that we pay the fees and get over with this brain-numbing selection procedure...

And Kari... i believe practically everyone waitlisted will get through - so chill...let go of your SIBM seat safe in that knowledge....

nothing to be confused about.earlier it said there would be a second waitlist and the results now available are the updated ones....that is including the second waitlist.now while some people who weren't waitlisted earlier are now waittlised some others who were waitlisted have made it to the "selected" list.my fiend being one of those lucky ones.
so lets hang on and hope that there are some more conversions!!

So is this the end of the story for the people who didn't get thru?Or is there any hope left for people ???i mean should i start feeling bad about it or keep the flicker of hope alive that something may happen?Guys please advise.................

Completely understand how frustrating the wait can be for some of you. And for those who were told they had made it but are now waitlisted. Just one piece of advice. Hold on till you get confirmation of your admission status by mail. Give it a week.That is as conclusive as it gets.
Our exams will be done with tomorrow. PM any of us Mican PG-ites for info.

Besides my being relegated to the waitinglist,

1. My friend, who was on the waitlist today morning is now neither in the selected nor the waiting list.
2. A sorry loser, who was nowhere yesterday or today has now made it to the waiting list.

I dunno what to make of all this....

Hullo,

My dad talked to someone at the MICA admissions office and this is what they had to say.

  1. They believe that atleast 75% of the waitlist will be cleared.
  2. Letters will be sent out to all candidates (selected/waitlisted) in the first list during the next week.
  3. Candidates will be asked to pay the first installment of the fee (sumwhr bw 80-90K)
  4. About April 20th is when the waitlisted ppl will know their fate.
  5. Those not selected will recieve a full fee refund
Thats the latest, congrats to all those who have made it and best of luck to those in the waitlist (which is where I am currenly located as well)

hey guys...was in the waiting list yesterday...but i've got thru in the new updated list...however not very excited until i get the letter from mica...anyways...is there anyone in the new waiting list?...was does the new waiting list say?...does it still say that chances of getting thru r high?...

What the hell is going on with the website? First they take ages to come up with a result, then they post a link which says sorry to everyone. Then a "Coming Soon" message pops up. Then after two days of waiting for the "official" result, we get to know about a mysterious never-heard-of-before "second list". Then the link stops responding last night. The morning brings new messages, and new results, heartbreak for some and joy for some. Now, the link is down again. What's going on? A "third list"????

Ballpark figure: Rs 5.8 lakh for the 2 years. That includes tuition, boarding, mess, library, some misc stuff & laptop. You can bring your own laptop if you want to or you can buy it subsidized from the insti. If you want the exact structure (the figures for our batch) - tell me, I'll PM it to ya.
