Me waitlisted, any idea if the first waitlist will get completely cleared? Coz the site says something really encouraging like 'chances of being confirmed are very high'...!
What are our chances-the waiters???

Congratulations to all those who've made it. For those who are on the first waitlist, it is true, the MICA waitlist generally gets cleared. There is no waitlist number as such.

Last year, they asked the waitlisted candidates who were interested to join to pay the first terms fees, which was fully returned if they did not clear the waitlist.

I don't have official figures on the number of calls sent out as yet. I'll try to find out.

MICA did not issue a second waitlist last year. But this year, since they've mentioned it, there may be another waitlist out when they've confirmed how many will join from the first set of call-getters.

But ideally, don't get the hopes very high up, because all those who've not got calls have been asked to wait for the second waitlist.

The first semester usually starts at the end on June.

Anyways...this wait is killing me...imagine its not even been 24 hours and the state i am in...cant sleep or anything...thx for all the support for little ol me on this thread..really heartening...Clueless you rock girl!!!! way to go...Thx appy for the support...Bugs...u deserve better....Dynamica u speak from personal experience since i browsed the last years thread and u were waitlisted...just hope i get as lucky as you though...I have not thought about anything except Mica for the last two years and to see my dream go down the drain after getting so close would be too much....i see a thread on mica batch of 2005-2007...feel horrible looking at it...shall join in there only when am through...till then moi still waiting.......

Kari, Kari, Kari....did you know I've been checking your number before mine everytime I've looked at that page? Imagine you being waitlisted! It's scandalous, but then I'm reasonably certain the waitlist should clear up and you'll get in. I do so hope it works out for you. Keep a cheerful face, what? Think of the endless conversations on mythology, fantasy literature, the role of religion in civilization that you might have at the MICafe with like-minded souls 😃

by when will we know about the waitlist being cleared and whats about a second list? does that mean:
1. a few or more of the selected candidates opt out
2. the wait list clears (plz plz plz)
3. MICA increases seats
4. MICA declares new wait list
5. ppl from NEW waitlist get admitted

suppose this shud be the scene.. never know untill MICA decides...

Can anybody enlighten me all about finances...how much and what all options we have to procure them. Does MICA help in getting loans??

Just an interesting tid-bit for those who made it: "Admissions are subject to students getting their own laptops".

I think the fee (inclusive of hostel, mess etc) comes to about 5.4L for two years.

yess i made it too...MICA has been my dream and now it seems achievable...

btw this is minu from calcutta...i joined pagal guy only after the results hoax on monday...but i sure m glad that pg was there these last two days to get over the anxiety caused by the hoax...

way to go for all the others who ve made it:whatthat: ...and atb for the ones witing for second list...

I have a call frm MICA and I want to know the fee structure. Also a ballpark about how much it would cost for the course (together with boarding/computers/whatever - basically cost for entire 2 yrs inclusive of everything)

I need this information to free up my funds which are presenlty locked.

No, it means the exact opposite. If had been selected I'd have been shouting it out from the rooftops by now. It's a different matter that where I live this might have led to my being anointed as the official leader of prayer meetings at the next Navratri Festival.
