Well What I would like to suggest pa-gal, is that it would very much depend on the brand you are getting the celebrity to endorse. Saif ofcourse is the best bet unless you have a brand that needs raw brawn...then it HAS to be John. But if you go for Shahid, then I truly hope the brand was not previously endorsed by Shah Rukh {Look what happened in the Clinic Allclear AD}, too much resemblence, but people know Shahid's endorsement came for a lesser fee..{Shouldn't reflect on your Brand!}
Though I personally like Zayed, I don't think he can help any brand... Well thats how I see it,
I am sorry if u find many people on this thread to be a less evolved speciesu see our ancestors were baboons , and we havent changed much , not sure about Micans though . About sour grapes, u would know if u have to settle for something (in this case an insti) that is way below where you almost made it. Of course, I on my part hope that neither you or anybody else here gets to taste those grapes. And according to you since its not enough to want something badly and that it takes something more are you referring to the backdoor?
The are some posts which aren't even worth replying to but I still will, because YES, the people who have posted on this thread have taken insti-bashing to new depths. It is slanderous the way you, that NSIT guy and some others have been harping about backdoor entry. You have a right to demand transparency - which wasn't given to you because of admin issues. The admission process should've been a lot smoother than this. But please don't make allegations just to make yourself feel good
It's funny that the ones who've made it have retreated, while the ones who didn't go MICA-bashing at any opportunity they get. That's all it takes doesn't it?

And Dynamica, we are all not really ranting here because of sour grapes.We are not MICA bashing, or undermining the credibility of those who made it to MICA.What the issue is the way the entire admissions process was handled.If you read through this thread, you will find that the two gentlemen-Luv Thakker, and KGK Pillai,have been giving people very very irresponsible statements;Vipin was had been told that he can start shopping for his stay there!I was told my chances were 99.99%! I was told by KGK Pillai himself that my waitlist number was 60 before I payed up..., Icall up yesterday, and Luv thakker tells me am on WL Number 59!....Can you explain that?We all know atleast two people on this thread who have'nt taken up the offer. I agree with you that wanting MICA is not reason enough to make it there,I for a fact have wanted MICA real bad enough to quit my Engineers job and work at an MR firm.I may not be worth it.,Although in my judgement there are some people on this thread who I think really desrve it much more than me.I respect an institutions right to choose its students for wahatever reasons.But to give us false hopes is unpardonable.That the waitlist is not moving up vetically as all waitlists do, raises questions that i leave unasked. I am not working at an agency...worked in print media as a copy writer for a year and now have taken up a 7 am to 3pm job so i can give my best to CAT 05...dont know if I can survive the boring pace of what I am doing now...Think my resolve to get into MICA next year only gets stronger.. anything for mad deadlines man...

it so happens that i have rainmaker written on my debit card too.....he..he..he..and scooter...my mobile is in the name of a mr rain maker...and what not.....but its not my name.....i just edited that part of the letter to be consistent on the forum.....after all you all know me by that name...isn't it...and i am trying to act like the inside agent(hope u got it pa-gal;-))....wanna know...visit the page below

This may seem a little warped out cosidering the fight we have still put up....but i wonder when we shall be getting our "we are sorry to inform you that u have not been selected" letters....
The lastest i know is that the admissions committe is in the process of wrapping up the admissions....sooooooo i guess we should here from them soon...anyone have any official verdict...
Vipin you have a summons for the third time from me ...tell us whats happening in Mica...and dont tell me its 20 km away for reasons i posted earlier........
Rainmaker dont think the one year courses aint good enough...they have had awesome placements as well...its just that they are not right for hard core advertising.......

kari.... had a talk with dynamica today.Says may b placements will hang around 2.5...for DCM in which i am interested...So i won't call that absolutely rocking...but then also i am just going there because i will be working on the seams of advertising and branding...which means the most for me
It's a good idea to 'stand for something' you like...but Rainmaker, don't call it 'loser' one year course - specially when you want to go for it. I think, you should go with a positive mind frame - a winning one, I wud say!!
And if you are good, you will be a notch above the PGPCM guys when they join you in industry a year later. (you wud be working for over a year when they join, right!)
I'll be honest with you...i didnt go to MICA...but had a chat with luv thakeer....he's finally told us to take back the DDs by sending an email. that's it the end of the road for us at least for one year...
Dr. Atul Tandon did reply to an email I sent, and he was very courteous in tone. Though nothing important in there, one statement he made was that selected students skip MICA until the registration day, so w/l chaps can still make it through...so for all of you drowning ppl in need of a straw to hang on, you know where to look. I dont know however if we will be in hunt if we withdraw our DDs...who knows this could be a ploy to earn interest on our principals for 2 months more ( yep, thats how cynical i am right now!)

I just spoke to Luvji about the waitlist game. Looks like it is all over and the number still stands frozen at 70. Dunno if it is true or not after all the goof-ups. But this is what Luvji had to say - No talks with AICTE.......no intention to increse the no of seats either.
He said they are sending us all sorry letters asking us to withdraw our DD's. Should be reaching us in 2-3 days.
Well, a sidelight to this conversation was that I have moved from no-45 to 43.
me spoke to someone too...dint bither to ask his name cos theres no credibility tht can be attached to anyone's word out there....anyway....no increase in seats....I am still wl no.5 and hence still stand a chance in case a few ppl decide not to take up MICA...mes probably asking for my DD back in a cuple of days.........
i called up today and was told that there is definately no increase in seats!!thats one more ray of hope that has just dimmed!!mr thakkar now says there is a 99% chance of NOT getting in!!looks like mica loves that figure!!i am still holding on for a month though....and if they are making money off me who cares as long as i get in!! i have also moved up the waitlist a notch but i think this is because some of the waitlisters have already withdrawn their DDs.
one confession i'd like to make n thats gonna invite probably loads of criticism n a few cheers: i'm thru, but i'd like to give it up if get jamnalal bajaj, for which i'd have to wait till the end of june. cant help it buddy but i guess wot dr. tandon said might just be true. if the cet results come a lil early, n i (plus who knows how many more) get thru, many ppl'd be saved a lot of heartache. tho i feel really bad bout it, there's precious lil i can do.

babe(pa-gal)...i am going with a positive mind set...but still its a losers course..if i get in to it...because the truth will still be that i did not get in to the pgpcm.....and lost there....calling my self loser doesn't mean that its a negative mind set....its just a fact and i go by it....
