No IIMC for me. Didnt make the final list. So it's MICA for me then. And I'm glad that it is so. Never been too sure of going into Biz Mgmt.
Could someone tell me if MICA is sendig a receipt for the draft or at least some sort of acknowledgement? Otherwise how r we to know if they've received the DD or not?
Also, the offer letter said that if fees were paid at one time before classes started then the cost for the first year would be 2.38 lacs and not 2.5 lacs. Does it mean that I have to send a DD of 2.38 lacs NOW or just 87000 now and the rest later when I arrive at MICA? I've mailed the admissions office a couple of times but they wont reply. Any clues ppl?

Well i have sent my DD of 87,000 too a day before through courier and before that i had talked to Mr. luv thakker there and he told me that the only way that we could check the status of our DD was to call him up again in 4-5 days(the time by which he would have recieved my DD) which implies that he's not gonna send me any acknowledgement right now which sounds strange!! anyway i will wait till my DD gets there and will bother him again for it...i know of a guy who went and personally deposited the fee there at MICA and even he dint get any reciept or thing....so lets wait n watch...i remember someone telling me that they ll acknowledge it in june when we go there for registration....cant remember the exact verbatim though!

With regard to the confirmation on the receipt of the DD.......if you have couriered it you can log on to the respective company's website and check if MICA has received your DD or not. I got it confirmed...........I sent it thru DTDC and they provide this facility.........infact most companies provide.

By the way, engineers are few but not always in minority... minority could be the Captain from navy or the merchant navy guy, a hotel mgmt grad... at least 10 -12 engineers out of 60 in 2004-06!
By the way, MICA is in Shela village and the only courier to deliver there is Blue Dart. Others normally deliver at Mudra office in city... so check that out.

Not a problem if you send by DTDC or anyother courier. It just might reach MICA a day late becoz MICA office guy will collect it from Mudra office and bring it to MICA. So if you plan to use DTDC, make sure you send your draft a day or two earlier than last date.
Also, if you are sure taking admission, send a confirmation mail, saying you are still processing the bank loan - or whatever the reason...

You need to pay Rs.2.38 lacs at the time of confirmation of your admission, in case you want the 'discount'. Not 87K.

Hey pa-gal.. u shud rename urself know-all-gal 😃 i had sent the dd on friday ie 8th from dtdc.. and i have a confirmed selection but then i guess the dd shud get there in time.. so shud i still send them a confirmation mail or something..
And i m guessing the number of engineers this time will def be higher than 12.. we have already seen some 7-8 on this thread itself..
by the way if anyone is planning to see a movie called paranoia 1.0 then i wud strongly advise u against it.. its out there man.. i dint understand anything in that movie..
