See What i told you guyz long ago.... I was chucked out of the merit list into the waitlist.... Now it seems that i am not alone.... Guyz what do you say?? Can anything be done??
Does any one with a similar problem have print out of earlier communication that u r selected n now that u r waitlisted??? I know a person at a very senior level who claims such mistakes never happen a t MICA and if it does and if students have proof then they will have to grant every1 admission who have been told that they r selected..
Hi...sorry but my post is not clear enough...what i meant is that 8 people from the waitlist have already paid including me....from the merit list about 28 people have paid (approximately)...but the fact that fewer waitlisted ppl are paying makes life much more rosy for me...again Mr pillai is saying that the no of people selected is 60....and that the seats are 60...they will let us know their final decisions only on 20th and not before that....
I have a theory...I believe that the reason that theya re not disclosing the waitlist numbers is that they want to see how badly the person who is wailisted wants to take up the admission...if he/she has other calls then they wont pay and therefore they are ensuring that only ppl really interested in the offer remain...
HI friends , i called up mica, im a waitlisted candidate, i asked them about whether we can choose the specialisation of our choice. they replied that till now everyone could choose whatever they wanted but things might change if 55 out of 60 ppl selected the same specialisation namely brand management. dont u think its risky paying 6 lacs and getting a specialisation which u dont want to study?? lemme know ur views please, c ya later
This is my first post. I didn't apply to MICA but had done a lot of research. The waitlist thing is simple. Not all those selected opt for the insti. So ppl on the waitlist have a chance.
From wot I know, everyone at MICA gets specialization of their choice. by the time you have to choose specialization, that is end of first year, you know what you like best. Media and market research are specialised areas. and as someone had mentioned earlier, chances of exponential growth are very high. A 2002 batch MICAn - now with MUdra is doing terrificly well. So it's not like all 60 want BM. So guys, load mat lo. Think clear.
Need to do some more research. A 2003 batch MICAn joined Hero Honda and a year later joined Gillette at a good hike. CEO of Mudra was saying that this guy from 2002, has made presentations to all 'who's who' of industry.
What happens is that if you are in advertising agency and know the client's brand really well, chances are that the client picks you up.
From the earlier batches, MICAns have also started thier own agencies and MR firms.
hey ppl, esp the one's like me who're selected n r lookin 4 ways n means to get a gud deal on the laptop, here's some info that can help. u get MAC G4s or centrino in the US or UK for as cheap as 700$ compared to d 55-60k here.luckily, i have ppl komin to india next month n have taken a centrino for around the same price. so ppl wid contacs, get movin.. u can alos check details on the link- www.cnet.com

Hi..I am looking for a good deal on laptops myself..atleast until MICA announces its offer's particulars..Just a word of caution..The price range you mention there usually has 'Refurbished' or 'Manufacturer Refurbished' Notebooks on offer..Unlikely that a high performance one will be on sale at that lo a price..Can you post the sites that have these offers..And also, if possible, feedback on refurbished notebooks from people using them there.

Just called up MICA to check wether my DD has been recvd and to find out if there was any info on the waitlist.Mr.Luv Thakur told me that My DeeDee has been recvd and the final list would come out on the 22nd of this month:huh: . So many dayz to to daze and laze.aaahhhhh!!!!!
