hi, glad to say that i made it to hallowed precincts of MICA. 
..during my MET, i had asked ppl abt the no of seats n all , since i was kinda sceptical bout my own performance, i was categorically told by 3 different staffers that the fight's for 80 seats (meaning no change frm the previous years). i kno sum ppl who r not headed in the direction of MICA for sure, so guys, keep prayin. on thursday i saw the mica website n saw that im selected. i spent two and a half days celebrating, but when i checked the site yesterday it says im waitlisted!:shocked:
this is absolutely heart-wrenching torture. someone pls pls pls pls tell me what is going on im going crazy.:-(
and here is the main thing. from posts on PG i understand that waitlisted ppl have to pay that 1st installment of 80-90k. i was planning to take a loan, but no bank will give a waitlisted candidate a loan. what do i do now? i am at my wit's end trying to make some sense of all this.:confused:
pls pls help me out here guys, im really freakin out. ( MICA students, are u guys there? )
anyone who can tell me about all this, pls respond soon, anyone who has any info about loans n stuff, pls help out.

Well was away for a couple of days, and when i retutrned to PG, I see that the Mica results have changed yet again..A friend who had confirmed admission, now is waitlisted, another who wasn't waitlisted is now on that list....And poor moi, well not on ANY list is what they say..
I really dont know what to make of this guys? Also, no matter how many times they change their lists they still forget to correct the spelling mistakes they made on the results page, dismal for a place which lays so much weightage on English.....
All you guys who have made it, a small request, please help us out next year just like dynamica and slash have this year...it sure was a relief to have most of our faq's answered.

After a royal snub during last yr's PI, I am actually thru..yup folks..Mera Number..Aa gaya ! I guess the Sanjay Dutt impression they got me do in the PI made it click. ;)
Would certainly like to keep running into all those 'parliamentarians' (remember ? ) I met in the GD..For the next 2 yrs that is.
Wishing all those hopeful n yearning to flash those pearlies at the 2007 convocation the very best..hope to c u again Karishma n Jormund aka 'Kunal'..Once again Mr.Elver, easy on the melancholy.

just spoke wit mica ppl. was told tht they hv already disbursed selected & waitlisted ppl their respective letters. so mask u shud hv it in ur hands in 1 or 2 days. was also told it'd b around a week till waitlisted ppl know their fate for sure, though they wouldnt gimme a waitlist no. n surprisingly the guy also added that i should keep a DD ready by next week.
i guess waitlisters should start makin fees arrangement now. hopefully it shouldnt b long.

i was not waitlisted until today. but today to my utter surprise i am waitlisted.
another anomaly i came across is.. there are 2 nisha vanvari's in the shortlist for MET. both have different MICA form numbers but the same CAT form number.
Any answers to this MICA?????

Cheer up buddy!!...Final year engineering is when peepah start taking a shot at CAT!! U haff all the time in the world! Me an Engineer too, and I decided about writing CAT 5 months(specifically for MICA) after i finished my engg..., So i qwut my Engineers job and worked at an MR firm, to get the work ex et al!.. and after this entire CAT excercise and all the la di da da, me here I am waitlisted for MICA!...And If they don't take moi, I be bak next year!!Its really not too late for thee, wish i too had written CAT in my final year for the experience!, U have bext year and if u really want MICA that bad, I am sure will see ya next year(I am an optimist)!

MICA cheated me. in 1 week, i have had three different results!!!! the MOnday goof up put all of out of the league so i got "not selected"
Wednesday was a lucky day n i gotta read "selected"
Friday, i m on the "wait list". MICA says this is their final result. nething prior to FRIDAY was incorrect........Mr Pillai (registrar) says "i signed the list only on Friday"
n in the menwhile, comfortable in the knowledge tht i have made it to MICA, i take a refund from SIBM!!!!
So now, my life is screwed....BIG TIME.
No SIBM, MICA in mid air
i know of only 1 more such person facing a similar situation.
MICA says its the IT person's error, not their fault. SIBM says its none of their business to take back some1 who kicked their institute earlier...
So all in all, me dead. but not given up as yet. goin over thr later this week to sort it out.

First batch on 26th...we had a GD topic of future managers and there characteristics...a few talked a lot on Ethics and why it shud be the deciding criteria... i spoke the least. We had two people in the panel, one with a french cut beard and the other a speck Ad guy with big, dense curly hair 😃

hey guys after seeing all the ups and downs in this thread with the lives of my friends, ur in then waitlisted and then out!!
now even i m turning optimist, cos i was not shortlisted acco to sangfroid gal and cl site( she told me that )..
since then i havent seen the official site results, but now i have 2 check that out, may be out of the blue my name appears in the shortlisted candidates!!
but this bloody site isnt openin on my pc!!
what 2 do, but wil definitely let all pgites know 4 sure..
