Hello Puys,

Admissions to the PGDM (C) programme requires a Bachelor's degree (in keeping with the 10 + 2 + 3 system) with minimum 50% marks, or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

This year the admission process consists of 2 stages


- MICAT

- On Campus GE/PI


Candidates should apply to MICA through scores of either CAT 2012 OR XAT 2013 OR GMAT (December 31, 2007 or later)


All candidates who apply to MICA through CAT/XAT/GMAT irrespective of their score, will be called for MICAT, subject to their application form being complete and accepted by MICA.


Candidates will be invited for Group Exercise and Personal Interview to MICA campus, Ahmedabad based on their performance in MICAT and CAT/XAT/GMAT.

I am sorry to ask this again but is the acceptability of GMAT score for everyone confirmed?

From what I can understand, this time there is no minimum cutoff for CAT?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

@[591188:Nike92] @[595342:FOG_15] Yes, the acceptability of GMAT score is confirmed for everyone.


MICA is also accepting XAT scores this time. You will get to write MICAT irrespective of your scores in either of the exams. These scores will be counted with your MICAT score before the GE/PI shortlist.

So there is NO minimum cut off percentile required to write MICAT.

@[611055:jinnujitu] Hi as mentioned above, there is no minimum percentile in CAT required to appear for MICAT. Your CAT and MICAT scores will be considered to shortlist you for GE/PI on campus round.


As a policy, MICA does not disclose any cut-off percentile.

i m commerce background student and i was read meths last time in 10th class. so i think my cat scoure will not good for mica. but my leadership quality is best. i have president of my colz. and last year i was election fight for vice president post and i was win.
can this activity suport in micat exam???

@[611055:jinnujitu] Hi, As we've mentioned earlier irrespective of your CAT score you will be able to give your MICAT. Try and do your best in both the exams. If you get shortlisted for GE/PI the activities you've mentioned will come handy in the interview round.

@[611575:cheetoz] GE (Group Exercise) is slightly different from GD (Group Discussion). In GE, you will have to perform a task with the group and you will be observed on many parameters while performing the task. It could be designing a marketing campaign for the deaf and mute. Or brainstorming on the message that Mahatma gandhi would have given had he been alive in the decades after his death.


There is still time for GE/PI. For now keep reading newspapers, magazines, marketing blogs, media websites and concentrate on CAT/XAT/GMAT.

Hello Micat Team !
i would like to know-- till when do the MICAT forms generaly need to be submitted? and what is the MICAT paper pattern?

MICAT will have 4 sections

1. Psychometric Section
2. Creative Thinking - LR, Word Associations, Visual Reasoning, Parajumbles etc
3. Written Communication - Essay writing, Picture composition
4. General awareness

Forms generally need to be submitted by end of January, 2013. Please keep checking the website for more details.
