The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) recently hosted the Pascoal and Maria Menezes Panel Discussion on ‘The Role of Public-Private Partnerships in Strengthening Healthcare Delivery in Goa.’ Organised by the Healthcare Management (HCM) programme, the event explored the impact of partnerships on the development of Goa’s healthcare system.
The panel featured Dr Kedar Raikar, State Nodal Officer, NP-NCD, ABDM, CSR; Dr Manish N. Gaunekar, State TB Officer; Dr Divya Singh, Manager at the Yuvraj Singh Foundation; and Ms Geetika Chauhan, Project Manager at Novo Nordisk India. Dr Kheya Melo Furtado, Associate Professor of Healthcare Management at GIM, moderated the discussion.
The event highlighted the critical role of public-private collaborations in enhancing healthcare delivery, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable practices. Organised by the Teaching Excellence Forum (TEF), the 3-day programme is designed to empower early-career educators with innovative teaching methodologies, practical learner engagement tools, and actionable insights into academic excellence.

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) celebrated Goa Liberation Day with enthusiasm and pride on campus. The event began with the unfurling of the national flag by Dr Venkatesh D. Naga, Dean of Academics, followed by the singing of the national anthem, which instilled a sense of unity and respect among students, faculty, and staff.
Dr Naga addressed the gathering, reflecting on the historical significance of Goa Liberation Day and the sacrifices made to achieve freedom. She delved into her book, ‘Talat Mahmood - The Definitive Biography’, while discussing the history of Indian cinema, contemporary writing, and the evolving dynamics of the music industry. The discussion was moderated by Dr Kingshuk Sarkar, Chair, General Management and Public Policy Area at GIM.
