Sitting in the cool breeze or doing assignments together, this place on campus holds numerous memories for GIMites.
The best guide is the one who has travelled the path by themselves.
The right selection of elective subjects is a vital part of the curriculum for the students of PGP - 1. Guess who guided them? None other than the Good Samaritans of the Batch of 2020-2022.
Fahrenheit 2022, organised by HRiday - the HR Club of GIM, brought students from both batches together for a detailed explanation of each of the elective subjects and their respective impact going forward. The students headed for the final chapters of their MBA journey greatly benefited from the event.
•Humans of GIM•
I come from a small village in Chattisgarh. Life there was simple. Study hard, and make something of yourself. Needless to say, when I moved to the nearest town, I was lagging in certain aspects. Though I worked hard, I would still get mocked for being different because I dressed simply and was unaware of the glam and perks that come from living a city life.
All of these events pushed me into a shell and I felt isolated. However, growing up and moving across cities, I realised that people can be very accommodating and accepting as well. I decided to be the latter. I take a keen interest in people’s culture, language and food. The more I interact with folks from various places, the more I become aware of the norms of their cultures. In fact, diversity is the key to developing adaptability, tolerance and acceptance towards others and self. I hope that during my conversation with people I make them feel acknowledged and comfortable, so that they may not feel what I did, many years ago.
Today, I welcome everyone with open arms. I appreciate the history and diversity of the wonderful people I meet. Having gone through the struggles of not fitting in, I understand that it is the differences that need to be cherished. We all have stories to tell. Each one of us is one of a kind. Here at GIM, we are one for all and all for one.
So why fit in with the crowd, when you are meant to stand out?
-Taniya Mondal (PGDM 2021-23)
Pride was the word of the day as GIM QueerAlliance enthusiastically hosted a pride parade where students came together to show support for LGBTQ+ awareness. A variety of props painted GIM in bright colours as students, faculty members and staff alike left no stone unturned to display solidarity towards yet another global cause.
With rainbows painted on all of the lovely faces, everyone marched down the campus, starting a buzz around. A flashmob was organised to top it all off.
As society trudges toward a new future, the humans of GIM are always going to be enterprising in addressing the issues of society.
“If you are brave enough to say goodbye, life will reward you with a new hello.” – Paulo Coelho
Farewells illuminated the campus, but hearts were heavy as the journey of the batch of 2020-2022 came to a conclusion. The ‘Farewell Dinner’ night organised by The Health Club was filled with good food, fun, and laughter.
The brand new managers nurtured by GIM reflected on a lifetime of memories that they will cherish and love, as they embark on the next stage of their professional careers. Wishing all the best to the students of outgoing batch in all their future endeavours.

This was followed by the Senior Core Committee members of all the clubs and societies passing their juniors the candle and a heartfelt message, thereby demarcating the dawn of a new era in GIM.

“The best things often happen unexpectedly.”, states Ms Shefi Gupta (PGDM Batch of 2020-22) about her experience studying at the University of Antwerp as part of the International Student Exchange Programme.
"We are always excited to meet culturally diverse people but never expect the extent of similarities we find in them. Living in a dormitory with students from over ten nations is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, that should not be missed. The remarkable teaching pattern facilitates student interaction by assigning us with group work within class hours, which helps us discover hundreds of new mindsets. We also have the amazing opportunity to work in student warehouse jobs that are compensated well.
The best part is how your dorm mates take care of you - they become family. Finally, the affability shown by the management is top-notch, which makes the whole program a worthwhile experience."
Join us in congratulating Mr Aditya Redij and Mr Chirag Nihalani (Students of PGDM 2021-23), for becoming campus finalists at Gladius, Kritva’22, organised by IMI, New Delhi.
We wish more such successful endeavours to the Team Gimnastic in future.
Our heartiest congratulations to Mr Archit Parwal (PGDM 2021-2023) and Mr Shubham Kumar Jaiswal (BDA 2021-2023) for securing the second runner up position in ‘Pitch Tank’, organised by St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
We wish them more success in the future.

Having dreamt to be a part of exchange program in my MBA, I never thought that my curiosity and will to explore was going to take me places and give me a chance to enjoy the best of European food. The continued experience and the journey from GIM to University of Antwerp, Belgium has been nothing short of extraordinary and life changing.
Working with cross cultural teams has not only exposed me to different heritages and lifestyles but a different perspective in looking at situations, not to mention the immense professional growth. The knowledge gained in terms of global business practices with subjects like ‘Business in the European Union’ and ‘Intercultural communication in the Business World’ is unmatched.
Along with that living in a dormitory with exchange students from all parts of the world like Brazil, Russia, Italy has made sure that I not only understand but also appreciate the differences in their ideas, lifestyles, expression of creativity and innovation. This has widened my horizon of doing things in new ways and looking at situations with varied angles. Surprisingly enough, there are way more similarities in the lifestyle than expected whether it is some of the cooking styles, fashion or just plain old love for a bright sunny day and picnics. The enriched experience is definitely going to make me a better business manager. The overall experience has been phenomenal to say the least.
