“Winterlude” – Pre-Christmas Winter Food Festival on 21st December 2016 organised by Food Conduit The Food Conduit of BIMTECH had organised a winter food festival called the “Winterlude” on a cool Wednesday evening. The food festival also marked the start of holiday season, with the Christmas eve around the corner! The evening began with the students assembling at the venue, the area in front of the cafeteria in the campus. The venue was brightly lit with colourful lamps, balloons, Christmas tree and stars. Since the theme for the night was red and white, everyone was dressed elegantly in their best. This, along with the peppy music in the background, set up a festive mode in the campus. Once everyone assembled, they had a surprise visit from none other than the Santa Claus! Many of the students kept the Santa busy with the selfies.
After the Director reached the venue, there was a felicitation ceremony for the Mess Conduit members alongwith other faculty members Dr. K C Arora, Prof. K R Chari, Dr. Rishi Tiwari, Mr. Abhijeet Lele and Ms. Rupali Singh. Senior Food Conduit members were presented with appreciation Mementoes for their continuous efforts. After the felicitation was completed, a cake was cut to celebrate the Christmas time. Honours were done by wives of faculties living in the campus namely Mrs. Chaturvedi, Mrs. Arora, Mrs. Anuj Sharma, Mrs. Rishi Tiwari and Mrs. Rajib Sharma. The special dinner was then served and the bonfire was also started at the same time. Everyone enjoyed the lip smacking food which included mushroom biryani, stuffed naan and plum cake with hot custard to name a few. The warmth of the bonfire was enjoyed by one and all. The dinner was followed by the students shaking a leg with their peers to the rocking music. #WinterFoodFestival
