Anyone going to Ahmedabad for isro interview on 22nd dec. from delhi??
hey friendsss...
i gave my interview yesterday.
venue new delhi in 11 am slot..
i was interviewed at 8.30 pm.
there were 9 members in panel along with chairman
first of all questons were from projects about 10 minutes.
then they moved to ask questions from subjects as-
1 comparison of velocity and thermal boundary layer phenomenon??
2 significance of prandtl no ?? relations for prandtl no?
3 how to isolate a system vibrating at 30 Hz ??
4 what is significance of area moment of inertia and mass moment of inertia??
5 calculation for magnification factor.. they given some values ?? as well as plot for Magnification factor???
6 deflection of a point on catilever ??
thats all total interview time was about approxx 25 to 30 minutes
All the best...
But they didnt ask favo. subjects

ISRO INTERVIEW IS VERY TOUGH IN DELHI.....able to answer only 50% question..no hope
This year they r asking some random question along with project.......
Cut off of final selection will come because seats r high and nearly 20-25 percent candidates r absent due to result of upsc and other psu throw gate... Give comments guys

What is the expected time of interview results?
Last time mech intview was over by 20 feb and result came on 1st april...this tym last mech intvw was on 26 dec...so mech reslt may come in feb first week...
Can anyone tell me how many panels were there in hyderabad?? One or two!!? Also, Guys please share your interview experience..
Isro interview held on 24th december in delhi.... Reporting time- 8:00 A.M. After document verification i was sent to the outside of the interview room at third floor.I was the 5th one in the list of candidate who called for interview on 24th... 2nd, 3rd, 4th candidate is absent... So my turn was 2nd... I entered the room and wish them... They told me to sit down... There was 9 panel members.. First chairman asked... Wht are u doing after ur b.tech.. I- i prepared for competitive exams and after tht i took admission in m.tech Chairman- whts ur specialisation? I- thermal engg. CM- wht subject do u study in ur m.tech? I - told them all 1 st sem. Subjects CM - ok we will ask u question from ur m.tech first u describe ur b.tech project on white board. I- i explain my b.tech project thoroughly as i prepared it already.. CM- explain the forces on submerged body? I- as my project was a drone. He asked this question? Answered it CM- explain flow of fuild on a aerofoil and forces on aerofoil? I - explained CM - variations of lift forces on angle of attack? I - i say first increse with AOA thn decreses. CM- ok, boundary layer formation on aerofoil and draw velocity profile on aerofoil... Wht is Shear stess distribution ? I- answerd it but little bit confused.. CM- ok sit down, Thn CM told another person to ask me questions 2nd memeber- what is poisson's ratio I- answered 2nd person- wht is the total stain of a rectangular body whn a axial tensile load is applied in one direction.. I - can i derive this on whit board 2nd - ok I - derived it properly. 2nd - why -ve sign is used in poisson ratio I - answered 2nd - what is strain energy? Write it for a bar applied of tensile load and for a twisting moment I - answered 2nd - what is factor of safety? I - told 2nd- what is failure stress? I - he confused me a lot of in failure stress.. I answered him but he was not satisfied... Interview was over..
Any info regarding result??
What type of people does ISRO looks for and what they expect from you in interview session?
This one should be made as one and for all. (why mechanical only :-P)
Does anyone have any idea regarding NTRO selection from isro interview. How it will be done?
