Before 2 days only, I got the mail regarding application verification confirmation!
how many evaluations-LOR had to be submitted in application for ISB this year?
Hello everyone.. Submitted application on 15th Jan..I got application verification confirmation yesterday.. waiting for shortlisting decision.. Anyone got call for Mumbai..?
I could see ISB class of 17 group on FB already got 811 ppl and I think total intake is 820... Any input on this?

Hi friends ,today I had my interview.Nothing was asked from the essays or the application.Why mba and what after mba were main focus areas.Actually the question profiles must be varying with the candidate profiles.Alert --be ready for something totally unexpected.This time focus wud be on creating a very diverse profile as suggested by one of the panelists.So IT guys be at your best and perform else perish.
hi friends.. just had my interview.. no intro.. started from my experience. Asked about falling crude prices, typical movement of crude oil. why mba? They are focusing on clarity of thought.. no stress interview..

A call-out to those of you not from Hyderabad but have their interview scheduled in Hyderabad. I'd like to know how're you planning your trip for the interview. I have mine on 13th morning. I am caught between arriving a day early and making it a one-day trip. Your comments/thoughts are welcome.
I will have a work-ex of 2 yrs in December, so I will be taking GMAT later in this year, wanted to know what is "the importance of profile and how to have/build one", when should I take GMAT ?

An amusing afterthought to my interview yesterday. The ISB panel is the politest interview panel for any business school interview I guess and basically accept and nod to most of the applicants statements with a straight face...so much one wonders what they are actually thinking. Some of the nods I encountered were- Yawning nod, understanding nod, ya ya we have heard this before nod, how many times did she rehearse this dude nod, don't bore us more nod, did she hire a consultant nod, seriously she believes that nod, is she joking or what nod. 😛

Are they asking to write essay on one word before interviews?
Just had my interview in Hyd today. Interview was strictly focused on my essays. My two cents would be to be thorough in what you've written. Look for potential gaps. And in fact frame your own questions, as if you would if this was an essay by someone else. Asked my strengths weaknesses. Substantiate these with examples. Most importantly, you need to know why exactly you need the MBA. Frame your answers such that they always reflect this answer, subtly. The interviews are extremely chilled out, and the more you panic the more potential it has to turn into a stress interview.
PS:those from a consulting background can expect a guesstimate question. Don't worry about the answer. Focus on the method of solving.
Had my interview today. As most of them have mentioned, interview was pretty chilled out. This is more of a discussion to figure out how well you fit into ISB and how ISB can get you your future aspirations. These are the only two motives behind each question they ask you. So relax, do a self introspection and try to analyze your profile keeping these two things in mind. Good luck!!

Hi All, Done with my interview today at Hyderabad.
The interview was fine. I was allotted to panel 3.
They started with the incident that I talked about in my first essay (Professional achievement) - like why it happened, how it happened, how did i tackle etc and asked me a lot of question on that.
They had completely gone through the application (every word of it)
After this, they actual started the interview and followed it up with the usual questions -
Why did you choose your post mba career to take up the role of "x"?,
How will ISB help you perform better in the role of "x"?
Why not stay back in the current organization ?
Why specifically ISB and how will you contribute?
Why not part time mba?
Since I am from IT and with 8+ yrs of experience, they questioned me on my post mba aspirations a lot and questioned me on what if I did not get a job that I was looking for post ISB?
Hoping for the best. The wait begins now!

Guys! Time for me to share my experience. Had my interview today in Hyderabad. Panel 1. As others mentioned, it was more of a discussion. Essays, Goals, Why ISB? That's it. Lay all the emphasis on these 3 questions. Please do plenty of research about your post MBA career. I mentioned that I want to be an entrepreneur in the long term, so was asked so many questions in that area. They also asked a lot of questions about my extra curriculars, one of the panelist showed a piece of paper where he marked few questions he wanted to ask me about film making, it was a bouncer. Overall it was a nice experience, However, personally I think I could have done better. I couldn't share everything I wanted to share. Stay prepared. Stay focused. All the best everyone.
