@Llewellyn75 Any idea on the number of admits given in Round 1?

Hello @Llewellyn75  sir,

I have an admit to ISB but want to defer it for an additional year because of medical reasons. Do I sent over the request now or post payment of the acceptance fee? I can provide relevant documentation if needed. Any advice in this matter? Cannot find anything relevant in the forums. .

Thank you!

Is it mandatory to give to the current supervisor details. I don't want my manager to know right now- can I give my last manager's details (I was under him till 31st August). Not sure how ISB looks at this.

For the admits, I have a question.. do we have to work till last week march? or can we put in our papers and chill already?

How many accepted the offer till now ?

Attention Candidates on the Waiting List... (Sorry for the delay in posting this)

This is a Modified version of: How does a Waiting List after R1 work: (14 Nov 2013)

http://www.pagalguy.com/gmat/isb-class-of-2015-aspirants-25094800/18053465

A Wait List means your case will go back to the ADCOM when they take up the candidates for R2.

So results too will be with R2...

Usually 4 to 5 of every 10 on the wait list make it... It does not really matter where you stand on the current wait list coz the weightages of the multiple parameters of selection will be changed in R2 by the ADCOM.

So all Wait list candidates will be merged into the merit list of R2 and then the ADCOM will do the same thing it did in R1 but with new weightages to the Multiple Parameters .

Now What are the actual parameters for selection?

Here is a non exhaustive list...

10th %, 12th % , Graduation, Post Graduation, AWA, additional qualifications, GMAT Score, Pedigree, Extra Curricular Activities, Social Work, Initiatives, Learning ability, MOOCs, Internships, Awards at work, Awards in College, Rewards, Recognition, Out side of work/ school/ college Achievements, Leadership Potential,  Team skills, ability to contribute to the class, International Exposure, Diversity, Exposure, Pre Assessment Test (Word) [Validation only], Dressing sense at Interview, Work Ex quantity, Communication Skills, Work ex Quality, Strength of Recommendation 1, Strength of Recommendation 2, Essay Quality, Overall Interview score, etc...

Now you know why the ADCOM took so much time...

Wish you all the best...

Which program is better for a 8yr work-ex professional?

IIMA PGPX or ISB PGP?

This group has cooled off considerably while the Whatsapp groups are running at like 50 msgs/min

I have 6 years of experience in IT services and biz dev and want to move into product management post mba. Have offers from IIM B EPGP with 5 lakh scholarship and from ISB, without scholarship. Which one should i go for?!

Admitted. Hyderabad.!

Anybody from family business background who got admitted in round 1?? Please share your views abt what interview was all about. I have heard that family business experience is not much counted... Please help clearing this doubt ??

My profile:

10th standard: 93%
12th Standard: 85%
Graduation: B.tech in Mechanical Engineering:85%  from Delhi College of Engineering.
Began my career in Sales & Marketing Dept of Bharat Petroleum, and then moved to operations department within the same company.

Did not get selected in ISB, should I apply again next year or i should go for some one year diploma course in International Marketing this year itself?? Please suggest?

A quick question to all the EEO converts. Does a GMAT score of 650 even stand a chance?
