Attention Candidates on the Waiting List... (Sorry for the delay in posting this)
This is a Modified version of: How does a Waiting List after R1 work: (14 Nov 2013)

A Wait List means your case will go back to the ADCOM when they take up the candidates for R2.
So results too will be with R2...
Usually 4 to 5 of every 10 on the wait list make it... It does not really matter where you stand on the current wait list coz the weightages of the multiple parameters of selection will be changed in R2 by the ADCOM.
So all Wait list candidates will be merged into the merit list of R2 and then the ADCOM will do the same thing it did in R1 but with new weightages to the Multiple Parameters .
Now What are the actual parameters for selection?
Here is a non exhaustive list...
10th %, 12th % , Graduation, Post Graduation, AWA, additional qualifications, GMAT Score, Pedigree, Extra Curricular Activities, Social Work, Initiatives, Learning ability, MOOCs, Internships, Awards at work, Awards in College, Rewards, Recognition, Out side of work/ school/ college Achievements, Leadership Potential, Team skills, ability to contribute to the class, International Exposure, Diversity, Exposure, Pre Assessment Test (Word) [Validation only], Dressing sense at Interview, Work Ex quantity, Communication Skills, Work ex Quality, Strength of Recommendation 1, Strength of Recommendation 2, Essay Quality, Overall Interview score, etc...
Now you know why the ADCOM took so much time...
Wish you all the best...
