ISB 2017 Aspirants

Hi all, Kindly evaluate my profile for ISB 2017 admissions.

 94% ICSE

92% ISC

9.01 CGPA from Manipal Institute of Technology

4 and a half years experience at a top software product based company.

710 GMAT (Quant - 49 and Verbal - 38 )

Is it good enough to get through ISB? And what areas should I try to leverage on while preparing an application to ISB?

Should re-applicants treat the optional essay as the 'change in profile' essay? Also can we mention things like improvement in GMAT score (along with other major changes in profile)?

Hi, kindly evaluate my profile for ISB 2017 admission :

1. GMAT - 720 (Q48, V40)

2. 10th - 83.4% ; 12th - 89.8% ; UG 71% (BBS at Delhi University)

3. Work ex (till March 2015)- 52 months in Analytics and Business Consulting (currently working in American Express)

4. I also founded an Educational Services firm in Delhi that provides Training and Counseling services to individuals, schools and colleges. I primarily take training workshops on weekends.

5. Extra curricular activities - VP Public Relations at my Toastmasters Club, President of my course in college, Baskeball player in school, volunteered for various NGOs etc.

6.I am a re-applicant (with significant improvement in profile over my previous application).

Is there anyone who I can talk to resolve my specific queries about re-application?

Is it a good idea to write about reasons for low GMAT score (say 650-670) in additional essay of ISB..?? Or will it portray me in a bad light in front of adcom..???

Hi Guys !!!

I am from the current batch at ISB and will be happy to help in case you have any queries with regards to the admission process or anything under the roof 😃

I am planning to leave job by next month and prepare for GMAT. Would this affect my aplication.

Het i had a question about reapplication. there is a sentence on the site that says

'You may opt for recommendation by a different set of referee as it might bring out different qualities or traits of your personality. However, if you would like to make use of your 2015-16 recommendation, you may indicate this in the online application. '   Does this mean that they will resuse the same recommendations or the same recommenders?
