Was working in Canara Bank as Officer for the past 2 years. Currently, a member of the "educated,unemployed and loving it" category
had attended CAT 2009 and scored 97.8 pc but the lure of IIMs was a feeling too good to resist. So, CAT2012 it is.

I suggest you re-take GMAT.A score of 550 is too low to come in notice of adcoms of any decent B-school.ISB had admissions with GMAT score range 620-770 for 2011-2012 cohort.With your profile and experience, a score upward of 650 would make adcoms of B-schools take notice.Rest all upto your apps.

In my view, the best option would be to go for 1 year executive MBA from ISB, IIMs, XLRI etc. You will not only learn business but also make a good network of people who can be very helpful in future. After all, all businesses need human resources.

Specifically looking for what on PG? MBA Colleges Information and other usefull stuff for prepration.
Aim for next one year? Finish my b.tech first of all, then getting good score inCAT.

2) What programs might suite me (10+ yrs experience, age 34)
3) Considerations in choosing and aplying for programes?.. ( how to go about it?... hey I am really foxed by the plethora of programs available, how to segregate them and go for one)
4) What GMAT score to attain. ( 680, Q-50, V-33, dis was wid 1 month haphazard preparation, i think i can improve sustantialy. how much to aim for?)

get a good CAT score, worrying about acads wouldn't help, yes it's true that some colleges mayn'y consider you (like iim-s,b,k) but you can nail some other equally reputed colleges .

hi siddhant,
If you are motivated then Don't worry abt your past academics. Jus start preparing vigorously. IIM s have their own way of shortlisting candidates. but b4 than that you need to clear cat with high %tile. its nice that you got the idea about cat in your 6th sem only. your btech is 65% so try to pull it up as much as possible( try to cross 70% if possible).
IIM always come wid surprises.
If you'll make aim for stars then definately u'll land atleast on moon, provided actions must be concrete.:)

hi buddy,
1. it's a diverse work exp, so given extra credit compared to your normal IT work ex :thumbsup:
2. ideally a PGPX, 1 yr executive MBA, ISB (as you have mentioned) suits you.
