I've just joined PG and thought to introduce myself to all of you. My name is Manish Singh. I am residning in pune and working as a Analyst programmer in a very reputed MNC and having 6+ years of experience. My aspiration is to join a a top institute in india/abroad for doing Executive MBA.

Current Occupation: Working as Analyst Programmer in a MNC
Why on PG? I am planning to appear for GMAT around Nov-2012 so more and more guidence,help and discussion on the same.
Specifically looking for what on PG? Everything about GMAT prepration and admission process in various institutes in india/abroad.
Aim for next one year? To prepare and crack GMAT and get in a good college for Executive MBA in india/abroad.
Guys,please advise me more on that what should be my schedule for prepration and more.

I have over 5 years of work ex in companies like Dell, IBM & Citigroup.
I have also worked in the NPO domain.
Currently I work for a social entrepreneurship start-up by IIM alumni in Nainital.
I am here because:
I want to pursue distance MBA. Due to logistical issues I cannot opt for IIM or other such online/executive/part-time MBA's.
I have narrowed down my choices to:
1) Welingkar
2) IMT, Ghaziabad
3) Symbiosis
Have ruled out ICFAI, SMU & IGNOU. I heard that NMIMS study material is same as IGNOU, so it is ruled out as well.
Request all to please suggest which is the best among the 3 in terms of study material, faculty interaction/support for doubt clarifications, difficulty level, online examination & assignment facility, total pass% etc.

I am Prabhath Gokarn and I am from Bangalore. I am BE graduate in Computer Science and I am associated with one of the IT consultant and services company since 2010 (i.e have an experience of 2+).
My nature of work involved everything a start up company demands.
Requirement gathering, budget management, software development and some paper writing as well.
This gave me interests in management as to know how to handle the situations when required and apply the best solution available. Being a part of creative team I felt it was necessary to manage thoughts and give it a certain structure. Having said that I am very new into management field. Want to explore the available streams and courses in the study of management. I do not want to do a generic degree, but want something to learn in specific be it finance, PR, film management anything.
Just hoping I would get some ideas from here and I can get started sooner.

.well I had my school in bobbili in vizianagaram dist in andhra pradesh,trespassed 10th with 88,then inter in visakhapatnam the brand sri chaitanya iit academy...all of my co strangled with the stuff given,but I
with my overrrrrrrrrrrrrr confidence did nothing ,just ventilating the pages of new books.At the end I had a dark black carbon sheet on my eyes,any how with some fate at my back I had passed EAMCET with average net and joined in btech at rvr & jc college at guntur.Now I'm presently 5 months nearer to CAT.But same problem persisted now.my apathy towards is not consistent.I need a periodic motivation to keep going on my foot on thread of vigilance and glory.I always feel

Since you say you are in your second year of college, I would recommend you to learn more quants topics and read as many stuffs as you can in english in detail.
You have stated that you couldn't crack JEE. Well, most of us here haven't done it either.
Read lots of articles, novels, papers (The Hindu, Economic Times - my recommendation), work out many problems in quant topics just as a timepass. Then you'll reach a point where you will be able to decide it easily.
Most importantly, develop some interest in business and management (if you already have, then not an issue).
These things will help you a lot.
