i am a bsc final year student,wid avg acdemic records.. came on PG coz i wanted 2 persue mba from one of da reputed B-schools, bt nw feeling low on seeing that many of the aspirants cud not convert the gud b schools despite having decent records and vry gud scores... i am lukin forward 4 da solution 2 my problem.

Buddy....don't think like that....if another person is not able to convert good colleges then that should not hinder you for trying the same:nono: Life is a game ......just give your best and leave the rest :) Results are not in your hand but by giving your best you are increasing your chances of selection and that matters. Even a guy with CGPA of 9.xx from IIT bombay can't be sure of his selection in IIMA but one can definitely increase his chance by his hardwork and diligence....the more he works the more he increases his chances "Life is all about possibilities,probabilities and chances"
in my final year engg now! hav given CAT 2011- 70 %ile 😞 (was not ready) very confused if i should actually try for top 10 B-SCHOOLS.. 10th- 89% 12th- 90.6% b.e- 65 % 😞 any light of hope on my B.E % and getting calls from top B'S ?? or should i stop dreaming? actually i had lots of fun in my b.e and in my final year got to know about how imp is grad % for a reputed MBA.. 😞 do i stand a chance now?? thnx a ton!

Now want to do an MBA 'cause I'm PHULL PHED UP WITH PHISHING AROUND WITH PHARMA!(See it's messed with my English too!;-)) Got 88%ile in CAT 2011, 97.68%ile in CET 2012. Going for them again! You can try for next yr, but these days CAT has a very high unpredictability factor. So high level preparations wont gv 100 % guarantee to success. Think over it.
In my opinion take SJMSOM if u clear waitlist. Its a very good option which u wud nvr regret.

Your 10th and 12th marks seem to be good.. Also be % is not that much bad.. So may be you should try next year but be ready next time..!! Thanx..

Please do not select a field because you want to get out of the one you do not like. First find what you like and then select it. That way you won't regret later.
Hey everyone, I am Yuta Lolap.I am in my last semester of Computer Engineering, Pune. I have 81.06% and 79.00% in my 10th n 12th respectively. I have secured a 77.05% percentile in CET 2012. My GDPI date is scheduled on Monday the 14th of May.
Do i have a chance to get into MBA-IT in any institute?
I also have another quetion, Is XIMR good for MBA in IT or only for Finance, Marketing and Human Resource?
And what is the percentage of students placed in MBA - IT, because the XIMR college website only shows the statistics of Finance, Marketing and Human Resource.
I also have placement offer from Zensar Technologies. Should i go forward with the job or go in for an MBA.

Hello everyone, I am Priyanshu. I am 27 right now. I have done my MA in econ from GIPE, Pune in 2008. I am going to join the SBI as PO in this month. I plan to try for an exec MBA from ISB after 3 years of work-ex. I am here to seek advice and guidance from the great bunch of people here regarding the kind of profiles and designations which I can expect to get after my MBA. I wish to go to a field which involves economic analysis. Can i expect to get into areas like Treasury operations, Project Finance or Financial consulting? Also I reckon I have started late. I have lost some time in preparation for bank exams. So, I am behind most people. Will an exec prog from ISB help me in getting over with this issue by offering me a suitable position in the middle-management level? These are the things I have in mind. Thanks

I did my Engineering in 2007 and post that I started with a venture, HR Consultancy, at my own. Now it is well stablised and we have a descent team and pool of good clients, who are worlds leareds in banks, finance, Invetment Banking. Here I can take a break for an year or two.
I am interested in doing some course/ Master in Finace/Economics/Applied Mathematics and Finance/Analytics. I love to play with number and I am good at it.
Please advice me a good course for an year or two, part or full time, in India or overseas.
