I am Nagendra. I am an Electrical & Electronics Engineer by Graduation Degree and Software Engineer by Profession. Have completed BE in 2005 and from then i have been working in IT close to 72 months, right now with Wipro.
I am a Technolgy Specialist providing Process Automation/Visualization solutions for Oil & Gas, Utility, Energy industry using Microsoft Solutions.

I am looking at Process Automation/Operations Management/IT Management/Infrastructure Management(to work with Sustainable Energy).
Aiming to start doing MBA with in next one year. Just started preparations for preliminary information on colleges, fees structure, programs offered etc.

We have very similar lines of work so far, so thought of dropping a line. I'm also a Computer Engg, and have been with a company for 4 years now. trying to get into a B-school this year and that too, probably in Marketing. Let me know if you did an MBA to switch from IT, or for beter grades or just for more zeroes on your paycheck :)

No problem frnd . And yes all the schools do accept Gmat scores . Good Gmat score is above 700 for the IIM's ( A, B , C) and ISB . But then again ur profile matters a lot . Since u not from the IT sector it does give u an edge cuz most of the applicants are from IT . Apart from that the academics , extra curricular and quality of work ex also matter . Some ppl with excellent profiles might even get calls with GMAT below 700 . But for a decent profile , it should be more than 700 for ISB and IIM's . For SP Jain , its around 670 and above .
P.S. : For further info please check the threads on PG for admissions in the exec courses of these colleges . U can get to know what kind of profiles are accepted , how r the interviews , etc . Moreover few colleges like SP Jain , ISB and IIM's(not sure) too ll have the profile of their current students . Go thru that , it ll give u a proper idea .
