Hi, this is Tapan Kumar Das. I've completed my B.Tech in Information Technology and now currently working in TCS for just a tad more than 1.5 years now. Had given a shot at the CAT '08 during my final years in college and had acquired an OK percentile of 88.88. Now with a work-ex under my belt, hope to get better results this time around. Had come across this site through a college friend. Now, since I have had classroom coaching before, I'll like to utilise this resource for a self-preparation this time around so to strike a good work-life balance. So this is it, sharing a common story with which million others like me, would easily relate to. People who would just want to see themselves in a better place in the coming years.

Do go for MBA if u really feel u r interested in it . Many ppl think of MBA as an easy escape route from their current field . Thats not a very good thing . U should know why do u want to do MBA . First make ur mind clear about ur goals . Then go ahead with whatever u want to do . And yes if u feel u really want to do MBA out of interest or at least u have pretty clear ideas about it , then go ahead and write CAT and other exams . But dont try to run away from the current subjects u have . They ll help u during interviews . All the best :p:p

I am here to show my insanity towards the Billi (CAT), and make progress in that direction.

Buddy u can search using the search option for the topics u r looking for like the college information , cut offs , placements and so many other things . Apart from that go to the forums (at the top left of the homepage , the link is there . The forums have different categories like Cat preparation , Life @ B school , Alumni discussion , etc . Browse thru that . The preparation links can be found in cat preparation section .
