Hi everyone,

This is Harsh from Delhi. I compeleted my undergrad from DU-Bcom(H) in 2008 and have just appeared for the CA Final exams in May 2010 (result awaited in July 15). I have done my articleship (3 years) with a very reputed tax advisory firm in the field of International and corporate tax advisory.

Now, I am in a dilemna regarding the following:

1. That should post the result (expecting it to be positive :)), should I do MBA or not and continue to work as a CA

2. If I decide to do MBA - should I work for for sometime and then pursue it or start rightaway

3. Should I do it from India or abroad

My apologies guys, I know that the queries are quite confusing and this is not a typical situation! But I am sure that some of you guys must have gone thru the same dilemna at some point in time!

Any suggestions / advice please ? Thanks.

Cheers, Harsh

Hello, this is Sugandha from Delhi.

I am kinda dubious regarding admission in MAT colleges. I had given my MAT exam in Dec 2009 and scored 656. I got a call from Amity University, Alliance Business School, MS Ramaiah College but I could not appear for further selection processes due to some of my personal issues.

Now I have applied in Amity University and want to apply in Alliance Business School too. But I don't know about the education quality of these colleges and placements, also which is the better one. Somebody help me plzzzz as I am so tensed. :-(

Hi. this is Prachi from Delhi.

I have just given my final year exams (Physics(H) frm Miranda house, DU) and m waiting for my final yr results.
Through campus placements i got a traineeship offer frm essar. the training is of 18 mnths in their various sectors ,then a job in any one of their sectors.
I also gave cat 09 ( a pathetic percentile of 85 :-() n got admission in fms,bhu
I want to give cat 10. I wanted to know what would b best for preparation, job or admission in bhu.
I am totally confused, added to my woes is my parents' opposition to go to essar which involves complete relocation.
please guide.

regards.

Yeah ,I advise you to go n join Essar...you can prepare for CAT while working wid essar...it helps u in two ways....first work ex will always increase ur chances of converting a call...and second having a job in hand allows u prepare for CAT widout any worries...
ALL THE BEST ...

@Sugandha,,Alliance has an edge over Amity....the fees may b slightly high but u shud definitely go fr Alliance. ITs in top 25 clgs f India if u find an average of different rankings...Dont get tensed:)

In adition to that kindly see the return to investment of these colleges , investing 10 odd lakhs for MBA Education is a big decision.

By the way if u have other option i wud rather advice u to prepare for CAT 2010.

Hello Puys

Been lurking around and stalking a lot of people in here for quite sometime. Finally decided to jump in.

Myself from the mad Mallu land, 30 months of work ex with a top Global IT firm. Never attempted the CAT or the GMAT or any other such exams. This will be my first shot at the big time, had always decided that MBA only after decent work ex. I think I have gathered enough knowledge about the whole corporate world now its time to jump in. 5 months to go, would be giving both CAT and GMAT. No preparations started, will start soon. Its been what, 7 years since I put my brain to use, so cant wait to get back to cracking some questions. Ahh the feeling

Craackpot is here to crack the mad exams. wohoo

All u need is devotion n dedication, dat comes only with self-motivation.

Any oder specific queries.. ur open 2 ask
