Hi Bharat,
In CSC remote infra mgmt, the chances r that u would end up working on mainframe systems, in a kind of a maintenance of servers based abroad, and that might become a cause of trouble later on as you would become more of a core mainframe guy, the advantage of the same is that you would be ending up with a opportunity of heading out to client sites as well....
But if u r sure that u will get application dev as profile at TCS, than u should know that if u have an aptitude of development and design than you can grow leaps and bounds there, provided u don't become a victim of oh he/she is to smart syndrome generally being observed with a few team leads...
now the choice is yours......

u sound so dejected...PROVING 2 urself doesnt matter...wat actually matters is ur DETERMINATION 2 get ur dream....

I am Nikhil Jain, a student of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon PGP-HR Class of 2011
I am a fresher and a B.Com graduate from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
At present I am doing my internship at MetLife India Insurance.
My CAT story is small. I joined PG to know more about B-Schools. And prepare for getting into the same. But I was more of a passive visitor then. But now I am on PG helping the upcoming batch of MDI. And very active on MDI threads. Just started exploring other threads.
My Aim for the next one year is to complete my MBA successfully and get into a good company, one like MetLife, would be great if get a PPO from MetLife.
