I am quite muddled with the lot of posts and rumours like YOU CAN DO MBA FROM A GOOD COLLEGE ONLY IF YOU HAVE 85+ IN YOUR ACADS!!!!!
I have a simple query,my marks is X is 69.6%.........XII is 81% and college is 68%. so will it be fruitful to give MBA exams??
I am not afraid of the pain required for prep but am i eligible for taking admission in good MBA college??

My name is Debanshu Mukherjee and I hail from the City of Taj a.k.a AGRA.
I am presently working in Mumbai with a Corporate House owning many different group companies in the area of Manufacturing, Telecom, IT etc.

1. You are eligible for taking any mba exam as per the eligibility criteria till this year.
2. Posts which you read saying requirement of 85% are meant for few IIMs and few other b-schools which give high weightage to acads. For all other IIMs like IIM-C and other good b-schools, you need to score well and justify the low acads in PI (if asked by the panel ) convincingly.

1 going by what has happened this year., nothing can be said on what criteria the IIMs follow.i mean ie can change year by year .
2 degree marks have emerged out to be as of much importance.IIM S and K have been very strict on graduation marks.Many 99+ percentilers have not been called by these IIMs and others too look for very good marks acros 10 , 12 and grad.
dear mate , you need to score very well( above 98 or even.and comparable in all three sections) to get IIM calls.however MDI , IMT and some other insti. call on overall score.Acads are taken care ofl in PI
So, i will say you fight , study and get a boom score.

I graduated in 2009 in b.com (computers) from osmania university (crappiest of all). after tat i decided 2 take a break year to make up my mind as in wt i wanted 2 do in life. i appeared for CAT, MAT, SNAP. i want to do my MBA in advertising so in the mean time did a graphic designing cource from image institute in ameerpet, then took up photography, working under a well known professional photographer. nd here i am. all scores in hand waiting........
