What is the percentage of people passing exams after acet,the ct,ca series etc...also what is the cutoff to pass acet? and the exams that follow? is it i certain percentage or percentile like in MBA? and the actuarial jobs...do they start after 3-4 ct series papers..and any papers in particular? thanks for your time

What was your ACET experience guys? To those who have taken the exam today. What was the difficulty level? Any surprises? Which topics were stressed upon?

ACET june 2013 - A super simple paper with absolutely no difficult question. I feel the statistics portion was well represented and overall the weightage for FAC and STAT was equal. However I am doubtful regarding one question which was very ambiguous and none of the option seemed to be correct (that question regarding absolute error by putting x = 2.99 in y=x^3). Apart from this question there was no ambiguity and anyone from a maths background and having studied statistics once in her/his college can easily score >85.
On a personal note, I think I may be getting (to the best of my knowledge) either 98.5 or 100 marks (depending on the solution to the above question).

HI..althou it was easy paper but i have attemted 70 /100 with 90 % accuracy..Will i be able to clear ACET? I dont thinck cutoff would go beyond 70 whats ur take?
Puys what is the tentative date for result declaration?
After clearing ACET what is the order of exams suggested? Also if anyone can tell the approximate amount of study time needed for each
According to IAI website, after ACET, the following can be the first exam
CT1- Mathematics background
or CT3- If you are good at statistics
or CT7 - if you are from economics background.
Check out the syllabus for these in the website and you will get a fair idea..
as i can see i think it requires patience and strong heart apart from a passion for maths and stats ... it has rose the respect in my mind for the profession and for the people who are pursuing it !!
