I just downloaded some random e-book google searched for statistics or statistics for actuaries or something. got several...one of them was good. don't remember the name now. I'm out of town for weekend. Can tell exact name on Monday only. But try google. You should get several books easily.

Finally, got my member id .Planning to give CT-1&2

Can someone let me know ,how many pages are there in CT-1&2 study material ..

How much time does it take for getting the membership ID?

I sned the form on July 12 & got my member-id activated yesterday !!

Hi, i am going for CT 1,3,7

No reading material for me as of now. Although on this page (study material notice) on actuaries site, they suggest a book for CT7 (Sloman, 5th Edition)

I have ordered that and referring to it now

yes they don't have some specific study material for CT7 ..... you can refer to the Sloma , 5th Edition. And if you don't find this book, then you can request IAI to give you id and password for online library for UK actuary institute and from there you can read it online or can download it.
for more refer end part of this page

Oh, I'm working. If I like actuaries after first six tests by April 2013, then I'll leave the job, sit at home and study for Actuaries full-time for an year.

Got your id. But I can mail it only on Monday evening. I'm out of town for weekend.

I know about 2010 material: in both CT1 and CT2, it was about 600 pages study material for each in addition to 300 pages of QnA bank. . Infact, CT 1 to 6, all had about 550-650 pages of study material,

CT7: 750 + an extra book of 1000 pages or so

CT8: 450

I'm not aware of latest material.
