can anyone plz tell me about the band system in infy.. As far as i know it has 7 bands..tell me about this. And which one is the best and which one worst. And which band a freshers gets as he /she enters infy??? does band vary inbetween the freshers according to their performance in test and interview or it same irrespective of all matters ???

There are 7 bands at Infy. In descending order they are F,E,D,C,B,A2,A1. Generally I think freshers get band B as I have got.

??:man r there any freshers (2006 batch) who appeared the interview on 27th feb...they told us to wait for 2 weeks at max...now its more than that...did any fresher get the result...I have a query for the ppl in infy... Where do u guys generally live.. I mean which area is better for rent for an infy emp.. If the office is in electronic city.. What will be the rent amount and other paper works... And how much it ll cost if i want to take a single room for staying alone... please throw some light to this matter, as its a very important question for every freshers joining infy, even if nt now but ll be required later soon...

Since u quoted Electronics City, i shall assume that u are talking about Infosys bangalore. If you are looking rent wise, then staying very close to elec city would be better, but just that you will be in a place where there is no civilization.
If you are looking for a *happening* place, then stay somewhere close to Koramangala, but it is a bit costly. And needless to say about the 10 months rent which is to be given as advance. If you are willing to share a house, then the budget comes to be around 3000 for rent and maintainence, and the advance amount shall be shared by all.

i guess u can chuck it.. get ur pay-slip or some proof on day of induction.. and u can speak to HR then..
i'm assuming u r joining as fresher..so in that case it won't be necessary.

Patience is a virtue... rejection letters are sent first. So if your freinds have got those, u might be getting lucky.
And plz dun use bold fonts
Guys have my infy test on 2nd april. And guess PI the very next day. Now how do I go about preparing for PI, how much is the emphasis on acads, I being an Electrical Engineer with as much knowledge in depth about it as a coral may have of George Orwell's works. Ok maybe not that bad but still?

PI @ Infy is the easiest to Crack
...Infact the written test is tougher ;)Well, anyways coming to the point, the PI in my opinion is just a formality. They ask you about your project, any details of leadership qualities shown et al. They will ask u to solve a few puzzles which are all again from Shakuntala Devi.
So, relax and Crack the test first and PI will be a cake walk. :)

12th : 75.6%
B.E. : 68.02%
to prepare for CAT, I did not apply to any company
CAT %tile : 97
But i ws nt able 2 convert the calls.
Nw i want to go 4 a jobPlz tell me, what r my chances at infy (being fresher frm 2005 batch)
And also tell me hw do i prepare 4 the infy entrance exam, i mean do i hv to learn ny comp. language or just aptitude is enough.

If its FORE against Infy its a clear no-brainer, take the Infy offer and give CAT another shot. As for Infy training being hectic, I have said this over and over and I repeat, training is not hectic, in fact it will be the best thing abt ur Infy experience. Its not tough to manage 1 hr of CAT prep daily.

I had a query regarding when could i expect a leter of joining??: ...I am a fresher engg. student(EE) and I was placed at on-campus recruitment in Sep 2005 and then told to wait around the end of my final sem's...I have already recieved the offer letter..but i am curious as to when i can expect to recieve a joining date..:) 😃
