welcome my friend
well I worked with Infy for 2.5 years and now working with a product based company and a MBA aspirant...
@rdrathi i don't know wat happens if you don't pay.. But some of my friends who left after around 6-7 months had to pay smthng around 1.3 L

@adream27

the amount gets decreased depending on the number of months we have worked.

i mean, a guy who has worked for 6-7 months has to pay around 1.3L(as u said). And a guy who has worked 9-10 months has to pay more or less than 1.3L???

@adream27

Also, if we don't want experience certificate then also we have to pay bond amount?? If not, then will we be getting relieving letter or they won't be giving that also??

Thanks in advance.. :)

hi, i joined infy last year and now my conirmation date is 1 sep 2013, but i want to have a LOP for the remaining period. if i do so will it affect my bond (getting delayed) or just the confirmation. i want to leave the company but if i break the bond how much would i need to pay?
if your days of LOP is more than 30 days and you do not have a good realtion with your reporting mangare then it will be extended by minimum 2 month..

no.. nowadays infy gives alot of chance to fresher during training...in generic training 65 used to be passing marks now it think generic training has been removed as of now...in stream training passing marks used to be 50...infy doesnt throw you out if u fail in it test..it will take retest and if you again fail in that test then you have to undergo retraining ..it depends on your area of interest if you have interest in coding then you can go for Mtech else go for MBA

For people joining IT industry...

well thanks for the honest reply. I am a mechanical engineer so if i do m.tech i'll be doing that in a mechanical field so now what do you think mba is better or the m.tech?? if i do m.tech from mechanical field will i still have a chance to get into IT company?? (definitely this will be the case if i won't get recruited by some good mechanical company)
@junefever
hey! thanks for sharing that link...... so what do you think as a fresher it is a good news for me or not??? they don't only need coders they need all rounders so being a mechanical engineer i shouldn't worry entering in the IT company because of my branch isn't it??

I cant comment on the article, its as per your interpretation. But one thing is for sure, there is a transition going on around the IT industry where they expect the talent to be an all-round performer.

always you have chance to be in IT companies like HCL,TCS,infy and CTS irrespect of your stream of engineering... i think MBA will be bettter option for you considering your stream of graduation...

i m not really sure on this. Because most of friends those who left infy in the bond period did pay the amount.. i think they will not give an experience certificate in that case.

u could have asked the question in the same post instead of asking in two different post.
Ok, regarding the salary it is not true. Once you complete your bond period of 1 year, your salary ranges from 3.7 to 4 , depending upon your grade. after 3 years you will be promoted to SSE and the salary also increases slightly. If it remained the same when you were recruited, why would you be working there man.... The hike that they give is only been in single digit after the 2008 downturn so the change in salary is not very high but there is some hike . Also, I would ask you, how would you define growth... one of my friend went to Belgium in nov, only within 2.5 yrs of joining... there are opportunities , its only that you need to work hard and grab them :)
