Call them and ask them about ur training..n u don't need to learn anything before hand..the training is very comprehensive ! Do call them up though. Urgently.
2 years back i myself was a scared new joinee to the big bad world of IT stepping into Infosys. But once u get the hang of Mysore Training, u realize that its nothing but a cakewalk and ppl who can balance it will have the most fun.
Also check out the hilarious Infosys Confessions page in facebook.. Will get u small taste of whats to come. ;)

You will get the offer letter very soon. Infy has postponed the joining of fresh recruits this year so expect a delay in joining date. If you can wait for 3-4 months after completion of your B.Tech for Infosys joining then you should drop the idea for M.Tech. But, I would suggest you to go for higher studies and join DCE.
I am a mechanical engineer and if i do m.tech then i will get a job in a core mechanical company and in a core mech company growth as well as pay is very less as my relatives and friends told me. I am thinking to join infosys and have experience of 2-3 years and then do mba from reputed college.... so what would be best for me pls suggest me asap......?????
@rishabsri91 said:@junefever you suggested me m.tech can you please tell me why is that so??
30-35K people join Infy as a fresher and almost 30% are on bench after initial training period. This bench period can extend for 1 year and in this period you are not adding any value to your skills. Also, IT industry is currently facing a downturn due to weak European economy. Instead of joining Infy and waiting for a project for such long period would be waste of time and at times frustrating. Also, I don't say that you will be bench only, you might get into some good project and work with some best clients but during hikes and appraisal, most of the people get disappointment.
I suggested you to join M.Tech so that later in your life you wont regret remembering that you had a better opportunity. I would also suggest you to talk to seniors doing M.Tech from that particular college and get reviews about further scope of doing the course.
At last but not the least, decide yourself what you want to do and take decision keeping in mind that its your future that will be affected. Other people can only advice or suggest you. it is you who will have to decide. 😃 ATB

growth in salary/promotion depends on your own performance. Dont think that being from non-CS background will be disadvantage for you. I have friends from environmental engg background and doing well in thier job. You might face problem initially during the training days since it is a rigorous training, so work hard and everything is achievable.
hi, i joined infy last year and now my conirmation date is 1 sep 2013, but i want to have a LOP for the remaining period. if i do so will it affect my bond (getting delayed) or just the confirmation. i want to leave the company but if i break the bond how much would i need to pay?
@rdrathi i think if u take a LOP it will delay ur confirmation as well as bond period. And if you leave the company in the bond time then the amount u have to pay will depend on the time u have spent in the company. Some of my friends had to pay around 1.5 L.
@rdrathi until u get confirmed u have a bond period of only 1 month....so the best option wud b to resign & just serve one month.....then u have to pay nothing....

bond period of 1 month?? i think @rdeathi is talking about the 1 year bond before which if one leaves the job, he/she has to pay a certain amount.
@adream27 its not called the 1 year bond....it is the 1 year confirmaton period....u have to serve a year after u training to det confirmed....so if he plans to leave the company,he just have submit & resignation & work for a month or so....sorry by mistake referrred it as bond period,.....its probabtion period....so no need to pay anything....

i don't think so, that u can just resign and leave without paying anything. A few of my friends left the job in the probabtion period and they had to pay the amount as mentioned in the service agreement. And i am very sure about it.
@junefever
at the time of recruitment infosys offered me a package of 3.25 so what would be my in hand salary during training and after training???

During training around 13.5k(deductions like room rent will be the major part)
after posting approx. 23K(this will be during your probation period ie 1 year)
After confirmation 27-29K depending upon your rating
