ppl who will be shortisted (eventually I am sure everybody will convert sooner or later), think twice before joining this coll.
General facts:
1. Only 20% students get top placement (9+)
2. Batch size is huge and plcment is highly affected (stil 200 ppl unplaced)
3. It was a brand once, but its becoming negative day by day.
4. Huge investment....ROI is not good at all..
may i know that interviews for imt (g) r over or they r still continue.

Dude I am faculty at one of the coaching institutes,.....Many of my students frnds studied ther and still studying ther....U can get the confirmation from many of ur other frnds

batch size is concern for last couple of years....nd eventually ppl get 4-5 L pkg (at the end).....IMT is in top 20 bcoz its an old coll, it had brand and it was an excellent coll couple of years back.....I hope u know the Kamath story

@dip_CAT_mania Yes some people do get 4-5 lakhs...Then ur acads also determine whether u can sit for certain companies or not But still i m quite inclined twds IMT due to its legacy and i m optimist abt the future if they stop increasing seats nw...

@dip_CAT_mania Sir, is getting admit all about just ROI and placements, can't we have some opinions about faculty, course, etc. I know because of its huge batch size, placements are very difficult to achieve, but baring top 20 , can you tell me where placement scenario is good ?
It has become habit now ! Whichever thread i visit, some or the other random poster( no offense meant to you) starts diluting the brand by presenting the insights about its placements. Achieving 9Lacs average was not possible for iit delhi either( with a batch strength of 120), then obviouly it won't be possible for IMT !! This doesn't represents institutes inability to offer students quality jobs, but speaks a lot about the bad placement plase across all the institutes !!

U can consider TAPMI, GIM....these are comparatively btr colls....if u converted it
@dip_CAT_mania ..TAPMI with batch size of around 400 in such a location...it was ok when their strength was 175 but howcome now?? more or less condition will be similar to IMT G.,...

U can say to some extent...but from placement risk wise, TAPMI is still btr than IMT-G

@jhaavinash Well dude i think we have to face the fact that except ... 5 tp 7 top notch colleges almost all other collegs struggle to get even close to 80 -85% placement !!
This is not to do with the companies coming in ..but also to do with the fact that most of the colleges now a days look for guys u have a career 60% and also a certain amount of grade ..in MBA ... dats were colleges dont have anything to do ..
So basically .. whenever a college claims that they are 100 % (probably most of the times ) than its more to do with students who actually meet the criteria .... (but again this varies from college to college )
