It was not informed because it is NOT the case. Read my post 2187 carefully.
Anyone with a score above the XAT cutoff is fully eligible for IMT-G.
I said the first call will not be through XAT means that there will be another list soon, on the basis of XAT scores - it just means that your GD-PIs will be in a few days later slot.

@lohitgupta Boss its not a case of sensationalising the thread..wat u have mentioned is that thru xat we will be initially applicabe for nagpur and hyderabed campus..isnt it?so doesnt that automatically create a confusion..as to wat is exatly mean by it.....tell me something isnt the process expected to club all the scores of the applications togeher irrespective of which exams he is applying thru and then select the candidates..if the process is already such i aplogise..but if it isnt i have all d right to ask y dis disparity?
@lohitgupta Hi mate, Just a small query. If IMT G cut off is 90 %ile, then i'll get a call through CAT Score (CAT score 91.26), right? Now, I have 71.xx %ile in XAT, I have mentioned my XAT ID, what if i don't upload XAT score, to avoid the risk of being considered for IMT NGP/HYD/DUBAI? Would that create a problem?
Another query: Last year, separate calls were given for IMT NGP/HYD/Dubai and IMT G. So, has that scenario changed this year? If the process is clubbed, then IMT-G aspirants would be forced to compete with

I never said that through XAT you will be eligible for Nagpur and Hyd campus only.

In fact, it's an option where IMT attempts to give everyone an even chance.
We have the following possibilities:
a) You get a good CAT score and get the campus call you want.
b) You couldn't do well in CAT - you didn't get a call for IMT at all OR you got a call under the Nagpur or Hyderabad campus.
Attend the interview. The interview is a standardised metric, used across all campuses.
LAter, when your XAT results are considered -
c) you didn't get a call at all earlier - but now you get one.
d) you got a call for Nagpur/Hyd earlier, attended the interview - but your XAT score is good enf to qualify you for a Ghaziabad convert - then your XAT score will be considered for final evaluation and Not the CAT score.
Let's make one thing very clear - IMT is Not forcing you to join any campus. The choice is up to you. We have 1 common Evaluation process for admission to all campuses and the same application lets you enter different entrance exam scores as well.

It is not mandatory for you to upload your XAT scorecard.

I said 90 was a XAT cutoff for IMT last year. You want me to give you a number - I can't give you. No percentile can guarantee you a convert. After the call, it's up to you - your profile, GD-PI performance, etc.
About the XAT score - look I'm not sure how the tie up with XAT works.
Us not featuring in their list is exactly why you have to upload your XAT scores separately.
Rest assured, there are a lot of my batchmates who converted on the basis of their XAT scores. :)
On the confusion regarding low CAT scores and high XAT scores, I could suggest something.
This is what I have done -
I went and edited the IMT application and removed my CAT Registration number from it.
So, I would get a call based on just my XAT score and not to IMT Hyd/Nagpur campus based on my CAT score. I don't know how good a solution this is to the confusion, but this is what I thought best.

Dekho, the CAT calls are already in process. So editing the form now will not make a difference.
a) As I have already repeated, you will have to upload your XAT/GMAT scores through the admissions portal.This facility on the portal is not up yet - will be up in a day or two- Please be patient.

there are no separate applications for IMT N and H. Its just one application form.
