Yup. Good question. That IMT-G preference will be taken from you later, provided you become eligible for IMT-G. As to how, that I'll let you know a little later in the season.

Reposting the important information so far...
a) As I have already repeated, you will have to upload your XAT/GMAT scores through the admissions portal.This facility on the portal is not up yet - will be up in a day or two- Please be patient.

b) GD-PI shortlists - Again, expected in the next 1 or 2 days. Please read the following explanation carefully.
i) The first GD-PI shortlist will be up only on the basis of CAT results only.
ii) The emails for the same will be sent out phase-wise - first for a few centres, then later on for the other centres. So don't panic if you have a good score and you don't get a call in the first release of GD-PI emails.
iii) Some of you with a good XAT score but poor CAT score might get a call for Nagpur/Hyderabad campus. Again, don't panic and DEFINITELY ATTEND THE INTERVIEW FOR THE SAME. Later on, if your XAT score is good, you will be considered for Ghaziabad campus also. (And your specialization preferences for the now-converted IMT-G call will be taken from you later.)
iv) If you have not given CAT but only XAT/GMAT – you will not get a call in the first list but later on.
So what it means is that you will NOT get 2 interview calls. But for final evaluation, your best score will be taken.
c) Specialisation preferences – you will have to provide these later, in a separate form – when you get a GD-PI call.

1) GD-PI shortlists were out by Jan end last year and the processes started by Feb 2nd week.
2) CAT scores will be automatically fetched. XAT scores will have to be uploaded thru the admissions portal. When and how, you will be told soon.
3) Cutoffs for a call - 90 percentile for CAT and XAT, 650 for GMAT – LAST YEAR.(NO SECTIONAL CUTOFFS) – for IMT-Ghaziabad. Only the entrance test score matters, for a GD-PI call.
4) GD-PI centre- Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata. No requests for change of centres will be entertained.
5) There will be just ONE interview call. Whether you make it on CAT/XAT/GMAT score - after that, your BEST score will be considered for final call.
6) Placements - Other than the report available on the website, we don't have any info.

@lohitgupta I do not have an impressive XAT %ile. But I have provided my XAT id. Is it mandatory then that I upload my XAT %ile? I only want my CAT %ile to be considered.

First of all, do not misquote me.
I'm NOT saying that the cutoffs will be 90. I don't know what the cutoff will be.
90 percentile in CAT/XAT was the cutoff for IMT-G LAst year. (And I'm not gonna speculate on this year's cutoffs.)
Only the entrance test score matters, for a GD-PI call.

Suppose I do not attend the interview for Nagpur/Hyd campus and don't attent the interview based on my CAT score, will I be called for IMT-G interview separately based on my XAT score?

@lohitgupta :why is that the first list will be made only on the basis of cat scores.also you have written "might get" and that too for hyderabad/nagpur campus.how will a candidate having a good xat score will be satisfied by this?
