I made it too. It feels like Vindication! Slogged for 2 long years for this. Though, kinda disappointed that I dint make it to B.
I've got some queries for my seniors.Thats about it from my side for now folks... Kindly reply to my queries.
- When is the course expected to start? I have a notice period of 2 months at my work place (SAP Labs) so I need to know when the course starts so I can work things out here...
- The hostels, are they single person ones or do we have to share?
- Can we wear casuals to class? Formals are just not my thing!!!

Well u can buy your own laptop or get a good bulk deal from the college ..It totally depends on you...
Also the college fees do not include any laptop fees..
One suggestion...go for a laptop with good battery power backup..it really helps you when you are doing your assignments and projects...
Also the college will send you a letter containing the basic configuration that you need to have for a laptop.

We are getting a bulk deal at heavily discounted price especially for you guys. There might be 2 configuration (a basic and a high end) to choose from. The talks are still on with the vendors. We'll communicate you the same as and when it happens.

1) The details would be communicated to you in the letter you receive from admission office. The fee is normally broken down almost equally for all terms and you have to pay them term wise.
2) The prep courses start from 19th June. Admission office follows certain process through which they identify people who should be called for prep courses. We are not aware about the process but normally it is non engineers. They also look at your proficiency levels in different areas which you might have filled in the form or they might have identified during GD\PI.
3) The bonafide letter should suffice but i suggest you call up the admission office and confirm the same.

You will get a letter from the institute regarding the fee structure. Do wait for that. The Student council will arrange for the loan. They will get in touch with you shortly to let you know the details. You will get loans at subsidized rates....so do not worry on that front...

The fees you pay to the institute covers all the costs of the books and study materials. There will be no more costs reg books etc

Yes you can host guests with prior permission.
