Is there any OBC candidate who got offer under general category.
Here is some news connected to the OBC reservations. Seems there is more trouble for the OBC quota people.
"Calcutta High Court on Wednesday stayed the union HRD ministrys memorandum on 27 per cent OBC quota in postgraduate courses in centrally run institutions.
The interim order means that IIMs, IITs and all central institutions offering postgraduate courses will not be able to go ahead with the quota in these courses...."

did anyone received any acknowlodgement of acceptance letter and draft. I send by speed post on last friday, but have not got any confirmation yet..
yes, I got the confirmation mail yesterday. I had also sent my draft last friday. It will be better if you call the admission office today itself

ya, i got it...i sent the draft on 12th and got the acknowledgement e-mail on 14th....
the mail also said that the receipt will be handed over at the time of admission, and in case u want it earlier, that can also be arranged...

The latest news is that the SC is gonna hear the case today...

but the obc offers will continue to be provisional until a final order from the court.. the point of contention is whether a grad can considered backward..
2 or 3 of the 5 member bench dint quite think so..i think it s been referred to the backward commission to figure out..final order wil be issued based on the commission s recommendations i believe..given the wider implications of the whole thing,i think it ll be a decision in favour of reservation

I got offer under OBC quota. But i belong to creamy layer. They have not disclosed my status in general category.
Similar thing happen in for iim-shillong. IIM-shillong as told OBC -creamy layer candidates to give certificates indicating that they belong to creamy layer so that they can be considered under general category. Please go through the link.

guess we'll have to wait a little more.

i called up at the number from the website:
0731-4228400.
Some random person picks up the phone and transfers it to the admissions dept.
Update: now the time they say is 4:30 pm

Though i ain't waitlisted but hoping against hope i called up IIM I right now & the person asked me which category i belong to
I said General & asked about the WL. The person replied that there are No Ammendments. So hopes have gone down again.
