I have a query. Does the waitlist get cleared, I mean till whichever point it actually gets cleared, before teh start of the academic year? or is it that some waitlisters who get confirmed right at the fag end join after the classes have started?

I guess it would keep getting cleared till the actual start of the academic term depending on people withdrawing/not turning up at the time of registration.

I remember one person coming in on the day before classes began last year (1-2 days after registration).

I think u shd contact the admission department asap.. They can give u the exact details..

First of all, congrats dude.

You should IMMEDIATELY call up the IIM-I Admissions office and let them know that you won't be joining. They will instruct you further on how to ask for withdrawal.

Once they tell you the format, FAX IT to them. This way, you wont miss the June 16th deadline (Yep, you have to let them know before that or you lose your earlier 58 grand.), and the waitlisted people will get a breather soon.
