Interviews in Ahmedabad and Delhi are over. Now when are the remaining planned and where?
Hi guys,
Is interview panel verifying the certificates or certificates are verified before entering into interview room?
Is there any mandatory extempore topic or 1 word essay topic like ISB?
Please some one guide us through the steps of interview process. Thanks in advance.

It isn't quite clear how the school would shortlist candidates for admission. The interview questions and process vastly differs between candidates. What parameters would the school judge us on when the interview itself hasn't been constant. Surely the decisions won't be based on the interviews alone. Your profile + essays + interviews combined may be taken into account for a final decision. I was under the impression that you clear stage 1 (interview call), then its all about stage 2 (the interview). May be not.
Neways, the school says the decisions would be out before the 30th of this month. 19th-21st is bangalore interviews i guess, the last ones for round-1 surely. Which city is it this coming week? Kolkata is it?
Hi everyone, urgent help required.
Please help!
My current job duration is of only 1.5 month, as mentioned on website I need to call them. However they are nor picking the call today. What should I do. Does anyone have an idea on this ?
Guys I have few questions. Request you to help here.
1. How do I show promotions, designation & responsibility changes in current employment section ?
2. Previous employment section doesn't have any space/requirement to fill about the job responsibilities & company details, etc. Is it not required to be filled or am I missing anything ?
My previous employment was my own start-up so would like to mention it
Moreover, I don't see the submit button. Will it appear after all information is saved ?
Fantastic Experience of Interviewing at Ahmedabad campus. Mumbai was 1st choice and Ahmedabad was second. But still they called me to the campus. Though was cursing the call up to the campus initially, I now think it was worth it.
Reached campus at 8AM and there were a group of 20-25 candidates who were called that day. Interview itself was just part of the whole experience. There were sessions with current students and some faculty members. Got very good insights into the program and student life there. Spent a whole day with some really good prospective peers.
The way I see it, interview is structured to see your decision making ability (interms of why you did what you did till now), general awareness, depth of work experience and clarity in career goals. They might try to find this in different ways for different candidates, but that is what they are trying to gauge is what I think.
All the best to everybody.

Is there no essay in IIM-A PGPX application?
Can someone throw some light here?
Guys, I've seen a couple of posts over here saying that they have mentioned Mumbai as their first choice for interview...but, while i was submitting my form, I did not get Mumbai as an option...I only had Ahmedabad as the option...guys, can you clarify please?
Has anyone with 650 GMAT score received an interview call in R1 ?
How is the acceptance ratio in R2 vs in R1? I have a 740 on the GMAT and 9.5 years of experience in IT. Total 7 years of international experience. I am currently working with Sears in Chicago as a senior architect, focusing on project related to customer analytics. How do you feel about my chances of at least getting an interview call?
Any update on bangalore R1?
Hi, here's my debrief of the Round 1 interview at Bangalore.
Was scheduled for the 1.30 slot yesterday, 21st. They had basically called people at two times, 8.45 and 1.30. We found that different panels were pacing the interviews differently and the panel i was scheduled to interview with (Panel 1) took more time with each candidate. I ended up interviewing at 5.00 pm.
Each panel had two professors. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and meant to have a meaningful and probing conversation about the experience and ambitions of the candidate. The professors and the admissions team will totally put you at ease. We also had Vikas, who is chairman of the PGPX program and an alumnus of the 2014 batch who spent a lot of time with all the candidates answering all sorts of questions (and also was gracious to conduct a mini counselling session for me once my interview was over).
The interview began with an extempore topic (you have to pick up a number out of 125) and mine was "Do Governments and Political Systems Distrust Enterpreneurship ? ". I spoke for around 5 mins and we had an extended conversation about the same for around 10 mins. The next 10 minutes were about my work experience which I was asked to explain in much detail and after that, we spent another 10 minutes over my present company's strategy and what changes/ recommendations I would make. A few minutes on hobbies.
Irrespective of the impending results, I felt good about the interview and it was among the well organized ones. Hopeful of a convert !
Did any one of IIMA 2016-17 aspirants got any email or call from IIMA regarding the admission results. The results are supposed to be out before 30th November. Funds need to be arranged as well which is my primary concern.
It has been 9 days since R2 deadline. Looking at the dates for R1 shortlists, I think it is around time when the shortlisted candidates for R2 will be announced. Has any R2 applicant got any call yet?
Hi ! R1 guys: any updates? Or heard from anyone getting any update?
Per my conversation with adcom this morning - R1 result is NOT expected today.. need to wait for couple of days more..
No specific date given for announcement of results in the email. Anyone can provide more info on this?
Disappointed with the delay in results. More so because the last date for withdrawal from EPGP slipped by. I am feeling numb and unsure what to do next - beg EPGP adcom to reconsider the withdrawal policy or just shrug it off knowing that forgoing 2L in favor of PGPX is not worth it. Applying in R1 shouldn't turn into a liability as in this case. However, I can totally understand why EPGP wouldn't want to pay the cost for someone else's mistake.
